Hotel Grandezza is a lovely hotel with a beautiful interior which appears to have been recently refurbished in a sympathetic manner.
We stayed in room 502 - top floor - which had amazing views over the Market Square and onto Špilberk Castle and the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul.
The staff were friendly, helpful & professional. The room which felt quite luxurious, was tastefully decorated and very comfortable.
Our accommodation was quiet as we were there over the weekend, however, they are currently renovating the Market Square and it may be a little disruptive when the work is in progress during the week. When the square is finished, the views will be even more spectacular.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again - and request room 502!
We stayed in Hostel Mitte for 3 nights and found the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean tidy and comfortable. The morning breakfast was a really nice touch as it is a typical Czech breakfast, and also fills you up before you go about your day. Brno is a great city to explore, and this hostel was an amazing base to explore it from.
The pension is very central and within easy reach of the railway station . There are lots of restaurants nearby . I was struck that the reception did not know where the Tugendhat house is seeing that is probably the most famous building in Brno . The rooms are plain but clean . The breakfast arrangement is the least appealing aspect as you have it in your room with bread left outside your door in the morning and some cheese left in the fridge . However the staff are very pleasant .
The room was very nicely furnished, modern and clean. Small by adequate. The location was ideal for us - just steps from Namesti Svobody with shops and cafes. The only drawback was the noise - with no AC we had to leave our windows open and the street noise from the bars and restaurants was constant until 2:00 am.
We had no contact with the staff as we arrived after they had left for the day.
Hotel Pegas is a lovely little place. It's ideally located just off Freedom Square in the centre of Brno. We stayed at Hotel Pegas during a holiday in Brno for the Czech MotoGP and, despite everywhere being very busy, the service remained at a very standard. The staff were very helpful at all times, and the food offered for breakfast was comprehensive and very tasty. I'd definitely stay again if I ever return to Brno.
