And when you want to be cradled by the stars, there are the two Presidential Suites on the top floor, with panoramic terraces offering views over Mt Etna or the sea, so you can relax in the waves of the hydromassage swimming pools installed in a parquet deck under the sky, and enjoy a unique show… Televisions come with premium cable channels, DVD players, and pay movies. Wireless Internet access is provided along with direct-dial phones, CD players, and complimentary newspapers. Bathrooms include handheld showerheads, bathrobes, designer toiletries, and bidets. “Interesting Hotel....the front Deskman and barman saved the trip.”

Not sure where to begin. The rooms were very clean, but small. The breakfast on the other hand, was the absolute best breakfast of the 5 hotels we stayed at. Tons of variety, from eggs, to home made cakes and pastries, to fresh fruits, coffees, almond milk, toast, jams, meats, cheeses, cereals, juices, etc. It was FABULOUS. The man at the front desk (Sergio) was amazing. He spent so much time helping us with directions and finding a restaurant and making sure we were transported to and from the restaurant. He is an absolute gem. And the barman (whose card I have lost) but was working on 10/29 and 10/30, was also amazing and very, very accomodating. Those two gentleman helped to make that stay wonderful. The hotel was Impossible to find without the aid of the local police. And once they delivered us to the Hotel, they told us to be very careful. They told us to stay in after dark and hold our purses tight to our bodies. They said that the hotel is in a high crime neighborhood. The hotel itself was strange to say the least. We were in the "modern" building and it felt like a brothel. Black hallways, red and black decor, crazy metalic decor in the rooms. If you're not familiar with Sicily.....bring a GPS system.

“Catania”

“Very good hotel as long as you stay in the old part”

The old part of the hotel (in the main building) is excellent. The new part is ultra modern and is targetted at business travellers who are only staying for short periods. For example the room has no hanging or draw space. It is very gloomy with back lighting all round the room. No main lighting!! The walls are black or stainless steel. There is a disco in the basement of the new part which will be very noisy until the early hours. (It is well away from the old part of the hotel). We insisted on being moved to the old part of the hotel which we found very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the food was of a high standard. Get an E mail confirmation that your accomodation is in the old part of the hotel or cancel your booking. Catania was not very good but its location to the motorway network was very useful for seeing the island.

Traveller's tip

The hotels restaurant was of a very high standard. Ther is a fixed price menu which had a reasonable selection or a la carte. As they only change the menu once a week you may wish to try a restaurants in Catania. They only start opening after 8pm and most are near the Via Ethea.

la posizione decentrata non lo penalizza in quanto vicino alle direttrici per il centro e le spiagge. buona la prima colazione ed il ristorante. molto professionale e cordiale lo staff.

“Schöne alte Villa”

Waren 4 Tagen im Hotel. Schöne alte Villa mit einem guten Restaurant und sehr netter Bar und einer wahsinnig tollen Bar/Disco/Anlage für private Parties (ab 15-20 Leuten), die wir aber nicht bräuchten, da zu 2 waren :)

“Villa del Bosco, immer wieder!”

Das Hotel hat uns positiv überrascht. Service, Ambiente, Zimmerausstattung und Frühstücksbuffet liegen deutlich über dem üblichen 3 bis 4 Sterne-Niveau, welches anderweitig angeboten wird. Zur Wahl stehen stylische moderne Zimmer im Nebengebäude oder klassische im Hauptgebäude. Alles ruhig gelegen. Kleiner, abschließbarer Gästeparkplatz. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis gut!
