It was very clean, despite the old looking house from the outside.

Good location, close to shops, restaurants, water.

Pros: location
Cons: Needs thorough updating and maintenance
Location: Half a block off the waterfront and close to everything
Easy walk from the ferry terminal. But we were disappointed in the facilities. Yes its old but that's ok. Its run down and that's not ok. Furniture was adequate but on the shabby side, too big and poorly arranged. The Jacuzzi tub didn't work. Bedside light was burned out - they did replace it quickly. The toilet only flushed about half the time. Everything just seemed a little to worn out.

Great little hotel.

We had a great stay at this little hotel. The staff was wonderful in helping us in every way - from helping us with restaurants to discussing history. Rooms were small but for the price, quite nice. Had a microwave and fridge. Great location!

Disappointing...

This hotel is overpriced for what you get. The facilities are generally old although the rooms have been remodeled. There are no elevators.Their breakfast is also ridiculously small. There are much better hotels for similar price or a little bit more expensive.

Pros: Location, staff friendliness. Updated rooms in an elderly building that had lots of character!
Cons: Lobby a bit dated.
Location: Avalon, Ca. Resort beach, snorkeling and boating activities
Overnight stay. Minimal time in room. Room was very clean and updated. Excellent bedding and furniture. Nice air conditioner, and TV.

Everything in Catalina in Avalon is basically along a 800 meter strip (with the exception of a couple things like the movie theater). This hotel is basically in the center of that strip so it's really convenient. The staff was accommodating when I was there. The room was clean, the hotel isn't a modern luxury hotel, but it's still nice. They had a free breakfast, which I wasn't aware of, which was nice.

Wonderful location.

Wonderful location. Walking distance to and from the ferry terminal. Though the hotel does provide free hotel shuttle service. Plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. The hotel is old. No elevators!!!! No heating system!!!!!! Brrrr. Small room. Semi comfortable bed. Mini fridge that worked to well, it froze all our drinks. Descent continental breakfast. Great staff. Very accommodating. Good hotel for a 1-2 night stay, but would not recommend for a longer stay. Will try other hotels on our next stay.
