"A really good stay overall, great facilities."
We had a good stay, hotel generally excellent. A little understaffed in the bar, but they knew it and apologised so that is fine. Biggest niggle the food, breakfast absolutely excellent, dinner less so. Bruschetta is a tried and true, and very simple, concept. Why then try and do it differently, under toasted bread, of the wrong type- needs to be hearty and rustic, properly toasted, rubbed with a clove of garlic, a little salt and then either drizzled with good oil and served like that or topped with sweet, juicy tomatoes and basil. What we got bore no resemblance. The wrong bread, no garlic, no oil apart from a slight puddle on the play, topped with a shaving of raw courgette, just awful. If you want to serve that, don't call it bruschetta, cos it ain't! Also we asked a waitress about a dish, she had no clue what it was, how can you serve food if you don't know what it is. Little things but should be done better to match the rest of the hotel.
