The hotel was really nice, and the staff was very helpful. Got a free ride to Murano on day two, and showed us how to take the ferry's around the city.

Wonderful hotel on the edge of central Venice.

Posted 02-Mar-2015
Pros: Decor, cleanliness, staff, views.
Cons: Slightly more spacious rooms.
Location: Great views of the city and in easy reach of bars & restaurants.
Extremely comfortable with the whole hotel designed as a contemprary panel-clad ship/cabin. Very clean and homely with only 20 rooms. Continental breakfast only in a tight area but perfectly adequate. Hotel positioned on the lagoon front with beautiful view across central Venice. Staff were extremely polite, helpful & spoke good English. Overall - a lovely stay! Thank you.

hôtel accueillant décor soigné vue magnifique

Posted 01-Mar-2015

great location

Posted 27-Feb-2015
Pros: location, well equipped rooms but unfortunately on the smaller side. Very friendly staff. Great amenities well equipped bathroom
Cons: breakfast buffet was plentiful but they could improve the quality of the food offered (just average ) Coffee and service was great
Location: .Avoid Murano its a loss of time . guidebooks are very helpful. Its very pleasant to have a Vaporetto stop in front of the hotel.
Nice boutique hotel with the most dramatic views (the best with the corner rooms . We loved the location (10-15 walk along the water from the overcrowded San Marco where you are just crushed by zillions of tourists) The Bucintoro is also very close of the great Arsenale meaning that is the right place to stay during the Biennale . Around the corner you have the Via Garibaldi with at least 10 typical trattoria restaurants at reasonable prices among which "Giorgione" where the friendly owner-cook Luca will sing italian songs. These kind of family owned restaurants is a fresh air from the tourist traps with their "tourist menus" in the San Marco area. For the Rest Venice is magic and is still a must for its beauty what it offers for romantic culture lovers. This was our 12th visit to Venice and we can never get enough of strolling through the small streets away from the noisy crowd. Little shock: we booked a junior suite but got and OK sized corner room instead and this is what they call a junior suite.

A place to relax

Posted 04-Feb-2015
Pros: The staff! Especially the concierge who was so friendly and helpful. Lovely room. Good breakfast available well into the morning for us night owls!
Location: 10/15 mins walk from St Mark's Square, close to a number of good eateries of various sorts. Excellent views of Venice and Lagoon.
We had an excellent relaxing break in this lovely hotel, made special by the excellent service of the staff. We could spend time watching the boats on the lagoon from the windows of our room. The small lounge was a nice touch and we were made very comfortable when we collected our luggage on the afternoon of departure with time to rest and a cup of tea. The hotel is very close to the vaporetti stops of Arsenale where the boat from the airport stops, and San Zachariah so getting about to the islands etc. was no problem. January was a good time to go as there were no crowds but everything seemed to be open and all the expected amenities available.

Top Hotel!

Posted 03-Feb-2015
The two nights in Hotel Bucintoro turned out to be part of the best weekend break my wife and I have had. The hotel is fantastically placed to explore Venice, having the "Arsenale" water bus stop 2 mins walk away ( this is your destination from airport as well, which takes about an hour by water bus, and just 10 mins walk to San Marco. The staff of the hotel couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent, and the rooms are beautiful with wonderful views towards the city. I would definitely choose this hotel again.
