Perfect for a beachside getaway

Posted 15-Dec-2014
Pros: The position on the island, the views and the cleanliness.
Location: Lovely walks on the beach and the costal path. We found numerous ww2 buildings to explore, although we appreciated having a car to explore the island.
The hotel is away from the main town so has a lovely peaceful feel about it without feeling isolated. We had fantastic views if Cobo Bay from our balcony. The room was immaculate and had all the services you would expect.

Really good place to stay.

Second time of staying and still a really good place to stay. Nothing negative to say about The Cobo Bay except the car parking is a bit more of a problem than it was previously.

Lovely hotel....Shame about the cold rooms

Posted 11-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
This is a lovely placed hotel. Right on the beach at Cobo. The inside is very modern and well looked after. Meals are superb. A little expensive but very good quality. However my room was freezing cold as there was no heating. I brought this to the attention of the receptionist who showed me too an equally cold room. In the end all I was offered was an extra blanket. On speaking to the manager the next day the only explanation I was offered was that the central heating was not working. Considering I had spent nearly £100 with the hotel I did feel it was a little poor. This was a shame because I would of loved to have taken my wife back to Cobo Bay

Hotel over looking the sea

Posted 01-Nov-2014
Pros: Not enough parking bays.
Cons: Reception staff could be a bit more friendly on arrival.
Location: Hotel in a perfect spot, over looking the sea. St Peters Port only a short drive, biggest town so good for present buying. Cornet Castle worth a look.
Had a lovely stay at Cobo Bay Hotel, the Breakfast very good, staff very helpful. On the whole a very clean and nice hotel with lovely views over the sea.

Great attention to detail

Posted 27-Oct-2014
Pros: The location, the food and my room.
Cons: My room was a little cold and I was unable to find instructions or work out how to use the fan heater.
Location: If it had been sunny, the beach is lovely. A taxi into the center was £11. Great food and pub atmosphere at the Rockmount, next door for a change.
I stayed at Cobo on business for 2 days with work. The hotel is on a lovely part of the island, opposite the beach. My room was spacious and had everything you could need including bathrobes, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, a lovely bathroom and even a TV guide turned to the correct page for my arrival day! I ate in the hotel on the first night, and the food was excellent. This was the same at breakfast.
