Great place to stay

Cobo Bay Hotel is excellent in three ways: it's staff, it's food, and its location.

All round excellence

Posted 10-Jul-2015
Pros: The friendliness of the staff. Our balcony room was airy and spacious.
Cons: Berries and nuts and seeds to go on the Greek Yoghurt at breakfast. Also small rolls for the meat and cheese.
Location: Excellent location. We had a car so everything was easily accessible but the bus stop is really close and you can't argue with £1 to get you into town
It was great to be able to sit outside and dine with lovely views of the bay. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Having checked out at 10 am on our last day, we left our car and luggage in the car park whilst we went to Herm as our flight was later in the evening. On our return the receptionist offered us towels and said we could use the health Suite to have a shower before we left for the airport. So helpful and it made the journey home a lot better as it had been a hot day.

Lovely Hotel virtually on the beach.

Posted 06-Jul-2015
Pros: The hotel was perfectly situated with good food, nice rooms and friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing
Location: The hotel is situated virtually on the beach, plenty of museums and gardens to visit nearby.
Wonderful holiday in a lovely hotel with beautiful views over Cobo Bay giving us gorgeous sunsets over the sea sat on the terrace sipping cool drinks. Hotel very comfortable with friendly staff and good facilities. First visit to Guernsey which is a lovely island with good beaches and plenty of interesting places to visit. Overall we had a wonderful holiday with beautiful weather, made all the more pleasant by the friendly and comfortable Cobo Bay Hotel. The car we hired through our package was perfect for our needs.

The service and quality of this hotel were a very memorable and positive experience. The food was superb and we felt very valued as residents for our week in Cobo Bay.

Tolles Hotel, toller Service

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Location: Bushaltestellen der Buslinien 41/42 und 91/92 ca. 1-2 Minuten entfernt. Toller Pub direkt neben an!

Weekend Break

Posted 27-May-2015
Pros: Location and food
Cons: not a lot
Location: plenty to see and do, walks, beaches and boat trips
weekend away in Guernsey, very peaceful and quiet with plenty to do including delightful boats trips to the smaller islands. Hotel in great location, friendly staff and food to die for, we will be back, in one of the balcony rooms, such a wonderful view over the bay.

This is the top end of 3* rating, I would think.

My only gripe was that the swimming pool in the sister hotel was really only easily accessible by car. Staff attentive without being obtrusive, facilities good, food good. My room was on the south side, and there was some noise from the bar next door - would be disturbing in summer with the windows open. Some rooms look onto a small, interior courtyard - like the Spanish light 'chutes' (forgotten the right word). You don't need a car as bus routes close and Guernsey isn't large, but you do need the bus timetable as buses not frequent off season. Visit the glass workshop next door, and the Millenian Tapestry.

Friendly comfy smart

Posted 19-Apr-2015
I found the staff very welcoming, room very comfortable with everything I needed, hotel itself very smart. It's in a lovely location right by the beautiful Cobo Bay. Breakfast was of a high standard. A couple of shops nearby which were handy.

Bel hôtel

Posted 15-Apr-2015
Hôtel bien situé mais hélas séparé de la mer par une route relativement fréquentée alors qu'il me semblait, d'après les photos que j'avais insuffisamment regardées, qu'il était situé pratiquement sur la plage.
