“Comfortable if expensive”
The hotel is a traditional style Moroccan hotel which is very close to the main centre . The bar is very comfortable although price of toasted sandwich with fries at 140 MAD seems quite high. My bedroom was on the 5th floor as I had a Starwood card and was large with King sized bed, flat screen so was well equiped if a little musty. The staff are very helpful at all times but as other people have noted the internet is expensive . I was told when checking out they also offer cheaper internet if you book breakfast so worth asking about. Overall the hotel was good value.
“Just like a resort hotel”
I was really surprised of the great special available for the hotel. It has the luxury comfort and Moroccan chic as promised on the photos! I could just spend the entire week in hotel, however stepping outside it's rather far from the beach and more like in the residential neighbourhood. Definitely recommend it to anyone!
“Great Service in the Center of Casablanca”
I stayed at the Royal Monsour Meridien twice in March '11, once at the beginning of my trip and once at the end. The hotel was great, in a good location, walking distance from the Casa-Port train station, very close to the medina and walking distance to the big mosque. I got sick during my stay and had to go to the hospital. The staff was more than helpful and on my return the following day let me stay as long as a I wanted in the hotel to shower, sleep, pack, etc, well beyond the check out time. The hospital experience was harrowing but the accommodating staff at the Meridien really made a difference. The brunch is great as well and the service excellent. My only complaint was that on my first night, I stayed in a rom with a door connecting it to a neighboring room and was able to hear the neighbors talking even though they were not particularly loud -- just a function of the thin door or walls.
“stylish stay”
Good experience with lasting memories, good service in hotel. Good ambience all around.
“wonderful experience”
From a to z was an experience that I would never have expected. Greeted at the door with attendants in colorful uniforms who couldn't do enough for us. Great service, and concierge got us into absolutely great restaurants with wonderful local flavor. Al Mounia is one that stands out. Morocco was immersion into a time long past for those of our culture. Wonderful experience. One negative was that the internet was available at about $20 per day, and I was lead to believe that it was included when room was booked.
“Nice”
Casablanca was only a one-night stop over for us and it's not a very lovely city, but the Royal Mansour Meridien lovely once we got inside. The hotel staff made us last minute dinner reservations and when we ordered a cot for the hotel room the man who brough it practically built it from scratch - no roll-away beds there. Although I wouldn't reccomend visiting Casablanca, if you have to go there the Royal Mansour Meridien is a good choice.
“Perfect location and service.”
I would recommend this hotel to others and I would also stay there again when visiting Casablanca.
“Luxury in Casablanca”
Very luxurious, quite a treat after weeks of backpacking around Morocco. The service was excellent and the rooms were beautiful. The only thing I wished for was a pool.
“Casa is worth a visit!”
A very comfortable hotel. Staff most helpful. Brief stay but most enjoyable. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. Superb views of mosque from our bedroom window.
“VERY NICE HOTEL, not so great city.”
Was at the Mansour about 2 weeks ago (June 2009)... This is a very nice hotel that did the trick... There is not much to see or do in Casa but this is a central location and least provides some feel for being in Morocco. The much more expesive and typical could be anywhere Hyatt is one block to the right, and the Sheraton is one block to the left... If you are looking to go out and dont want to cab it over to Ain-Diab along the water those two hotels provide some bars/clubs and def check out La Bodega around corner from the Sheraton... The Meridien hotel drinks, internet, and other things are very expensive BUT the the staff was freindly and helpful with maps, pointers, directs ect ect ect... English was not a problem.
