“good hotel if youre not a internet freak”

only thing i did not like was that there was no internet in the rooms. you could buy internet downstairs around the bar which was slow, otherwise very nice and good food.

“Excellent choice if you like an all inclusive hotel”

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff are very welcoming and helpful at anything being asked. The entertainment provided and daily events surrounding the pool area are excellent, don't miss out on this free entertainment. The only thing that we disliked was the constant pressure of re-booking the hotel for future stays, but they will leave you alone if you respectfully tell them to do so.

“Love my Decamerons”

Although I seemed to be the only english speaking guest at the Decameron in Cartagena Colombia, I was looked after very graciously! I have stayed at the Royal Decameron Flamingos in Puerto Vallarta three times this last year and prefer this chain of hotels. The hotel was very clean, my room was clean and comfortable. I found the bed alittle hard but nothing to really complain about. The views from the hotel are outstanding as it is right on the beach. I found the food delicious even though it is different than what we generally eat in Canada. It's good to be open to new experiences culinary wise My only suggestion would be to have a bottle of water in the room itself in addition to the water cooler in the hallways. The Bartender Roy was a gem. I like bloody marys and he made a special effort to find the ingredients to make them and then he delivered them to my poolside chair. excellent service, thank Roy! Check in and out flowed smoothly and I felt safe during my stay

the hotel is in a good location, u can walk to everything. However it is old and worn, but the free drinks, food and great service make it a bargain. dont forget the 16% tax and tips are included in the price

“Good hotel, needs renovation”

Decameron Cartagena good is 3 star hotel, the check-in process was fast however we were given a dark room and the window faced an interior wall; we requested a new room and they they gave us a nice room with view to the sea on next day. The general condition of the hotel is good, it is clean, well mantained, safe and located in a good area of the city; however some small details would make it look more modern and appealing; I would suggest the owners to make the following improvements: 1) Install electronic keys on the doors 2) Buy new furniture, the one our room looked 25 years old 3) Replace the old 17" CRT TVs with LCD ones

“Look past the room and go for the experience.”

The all inclusive aspect is fantastic. The hotel also makes sure that you are taken care of on the adjacent beach. The rooms are outdated and the temperature control is not that comfortable. Things like TV and room ammenities are not good, but you don't go there to stay in the room. For overall experience, I would go there again. Food was good and drinks anytime is fantastic.

The hotel, service, location were all right. Unfortunately, the beach was really miserable\: as consecuence it is a good all inclusive city hotel: not a beach hotel.

Location and food were reasonable. Sharing tables at dinner was not nice, elevators not working, small pool and lobby for the size of the hotel. Food is only available at restaurant times (not like the typical all inclusive), If you love coffee like me, be ready to look for it. All the hotel needs to be refurbished.
