“Loved it!!”

Dreamed about going to Lake Tahoe, and it was as beautiful as I imagined!! Got in after midnight, was upgraded rooms, stopped in the casino on the way to the room and won $120 on the first spin! We had a great trip and it was in large part due to the great hotel accommodations! Loved the Starbucks in the lobby and the wide variety of restaurants in the hotel and within walking distance! Would highly recommend this hotel!

“Forget about it”

Upon entering the room we noticed an extremely noxious cleaning product odor that seemed to linger forever. The rooms--and the hotel--are dated and tired. The Starbucks was good though.

“Great, central, convenient location for hiking in Tahoe.”

This was a value in comparison to some of the properties in the vacinity, and was more centrally located to the hiking and other activities we had planned to do while in Tahoe. The pool and hot tubs were very nice and the hotel is clean and comfortable. There is a nice selection of eateries in the hotel, especially when you are tired and don't want to venture out. Exceptionally nice is the two bathrooms in each room allowing both my wife and I to get ready in the morning at the same time. We have two complaints. 1) We selected a room with two queen beds when we reserved through Expedia but upon arrival, they only had a room with one king. Harrah's insisted that they don't guarantee the bed's, only the room type, even though it is a room selection on Expedia. We would have been able to change rooms the next day, but since we were there to hike and were up early / back late, it would have never been convenient to wait for an available room. 2) The room we did get was behind the elevators and they were very noisy, waking us throughout the night. Still, it was a value and we would stay there again.

“Great Value”

Beautiful location. Spacious room. My girlfriend loved the 2 bathroom feature. I've been to Vegas a hundred times, and this was my first trip to Tahoe. Even though I loved the room and the location, the casino was the worst, from a pay-back perspective. I've been to Vegas enough to know that sometimes your up, sometimes your down. You win some, you lose some... I lost at every single gaming venture I attempted. there was no win some, lose some. It was lose, lose, lose. My girlfriend experienced the same thing. Neither one of us made a single dime. The casino was just a giant money pit.

“Nice Hotel”

We had a reservation for three nights in a deluxe room. On the first day we were put up in a room overlooking a/c units, next to an elevator with it constantly going up and down...very noisy. The next day, after we talked to the manager, we were moved to a great room. But the fact that were not treated right the first night ( the hotel was not full) left a bad taste.

“"Enjoyed our stay"”

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Harrah's in beautiful Lake Tahoe. Our room was perfect in every way, clean & fresh towels. The staff wherever we went in the hotel and casino were pleasant and polite. Food was delicious! Overall a wonderful experience.

Area recommendations

Go, see and do everything Lake Tahoe has to offer. The selection is enormous! Food, entertainment the list is endless. Afterall, who wouldn't love Lake Tahoe?

When to go

We traveled to Lake Tahoe by car and were able to see Mother Nature at her finest. All of the beautiful trees were just turning into all the lovely shades of fall. Simply breathtaking! Not ruined as of yet by our society. A must-see for sure. While visiting Lake Tahoe it also snowed and the best of all, sticking. What a treat for us!

“Nice Room”

Loved the fact that there were 2 full bathrooms in the room. The only minus is that the shower stall was stained and looked quite dirty. I had to buy some Comet and scrub that thing down.

Area recommendations

South Lake Tahoe is the best because it is close to the slopes, the casinos and some decent eateries as well as some of the water recreation areas.
