“Possibly Biased But....”

We made a last-minute reservation through Expedia. The room we wanted, although showing online, was sold-out. We got upgraded to one of their suites, no charge. Great room. Top-notch counter individual. Wonderful continental breakfast with good variety and 'to-go' breakfast bags. Nice gym and pool. Wonderful experience. On the east end of their main street. Short driving distance to all local attractions.

We arrived after check-in (which is very late in my opinion) 3:00 pm. We were told our room wasn't ready, so they had to make us wait 30 minutes in the lobby or put us in a different room. They put us in another room. We got to it and it reeked of cigarette smoke (were non-smokers). I called and complained so they sent a man up, who proceeded to walk through our room sniffing. When he was done, he said "yep I smell that! I'm sorry folks the whole hotel is non-smoking, not much we can do about that", and told us about the pot smoking in the hall the night before. He said he would notify the front desk for us. There werent any more rooms available (car show in town). Then the alarm clock was set and woke us up at 430am. Then the same morning the maid walks right into our room before we realize she is there! We are all asleep still and she doesn't even speak english and doesn't understand us telling her we are asleep and asking her what she is doing in our room! Needless to say, we complained, Hampton did not honor theyre 100% satisfaction garuntee as agreed. We won't be staying here again...and telling others we know to save them theyre money! It wasn't cheap!

“Good and bad, but overall wouldn't stay again.”

Pros: - The hotel is very new and the lobby, common spaces, and rooms were clean and comfortable. Similarly, the bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. - Everything in the room (air conditioning, TV, bathroom appliances) all worked well. - The breakfast buffet was OK, but not great. Cons: - The hotel is on the very northern end of town, at the very edge of the city. It's a 2-4 mile drive to anywhere of significance in the town. - I had wanted a higher floor but despite being only 50% full, they gave me a 1st floor room and were unwilling to change it. - The high-speed internet did not work in the room. After calling the help number, I was ultimately told that my computer was not work, which is ridiculous, as it works everywhere else. - Again, the breakfast buffet is OK, but not great. Basically, I would stay elsewhere next time. Not worth it overall.

“Perfect room and rate and breakfast too!”

We wanted a few days to play in the snow and found Tahoe way too expensive. Carson City rates were very reasonable and we only had to drive 20 minutes to find snow. The heated pool at night was another great way to entertain the kids in the evening. We were close to many restaurants but the complimentary breakfast offered many choices to please us all as well as helped save us money and time! The room was clean , nicely decorated/modern, and the beds were very comfortable (usually my biggest complaint at other hotels!) . I would highly recommend this hotel to families.
