“Lovely views”
Excellent from start to finish
“Lovely hotel. Not the best location.”
Lovely hotel with friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Close to bars and restaurants but a fair distance from city centre shops.
“A very Comfortable Hotel in a great position”
A good hotel, worth every bit of your 4 star rating. Wonderful views and an excellent restaurant and convenient to all the major attractions.
“Recommend stay.”
Very nice view, near to city centre.
“Nice Hotel - Staff let the place down badly!!!”
Found the hotel staff to be very disappointing, they were not very welcoming or friendly. Went to the bar for a drink and couldnt believe the bar doesnt have any range of alco pops, So I decided I would have a Vodka and Club orange, they dont even have club orange/Fanta of any kind within in the hotel!!! We had bar food and again this was not a great experience. We ordered Club Sandwiches and they were cold, egg mayonaise was on the menu and what we got was bold egg chopped up, and they tasted like cardboard, I said to the staff memeber behind the bar, she said I cant do anything as I am not a manager, did not try to contact a manager or offer any further help conversation was over.
“Newly furnished”
although we spent only one day in the hotel, the newly furnished room was very smelly. There are no windows in the room for us to open, therefore, we have to turn on the AC all the time. At the reception, the hotel staff were just so so, not bad but definitely no good. As I am the golden SPG customer, compared with the SPG hotels and their staff's politeness, I can just say there are still long ways for this hotel to develop.
“"Can't wait to return"”
I spent two nights at the St David's Hotel and Spa and have to say what a lovely hotel the staff where amazing extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. I had a rather large amount of luggage at the time and a young man called Ian from the concierge desk helped me over and above what would normally be required. My only comment I would have is don't be put off by the reception area as I thought it very bland. The rooms where very nice and the views amazing. The spa was great and I made full use of the pool area. I really enjoyed my stay and thank you expedia for getting it for me at a very very good rate.
“St. Davids: very welcoming hotel, great views, great breakfast & excellent and helpful staff”
The hotel is in a great position on the waterfront overlooking the bay. We arrived late whilst a function was on but the staff responded very quickly to get us checked in and the car parked. It’s a very small car park but the public car park joins on to it. The room was very clean. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff very attentive. The local area has very good restaurants and various transport links to the city centre. The higher the floor, the better the view. We had the 1st floor above the function room which initially I thought wasn't good but the function noise wasn't too intrusive and finished at an appropriate time. The view was good and access to a lounge on the other side of the building offering a different view and a sun deck was a nice touch. We would use this hotel again.
“Extremely Satisfied”
We really loved our recent stay at St David's. The location, just off of Mermaid Quay had alot to offer. It is a 5 min walk to Mermaid Quay, where there are shops, restaurants and bars and about a 20 minute walk into the center of town where all the action is. The hotel room we stayed in was just renovated and was very comfortable and clean and had a deck looking over the bay (as all rooms do). We also had a great experience with the SPA staff overall. The hotel restaurant was VERY EXPENSIVE (although had terrific service).
“'Recommended'”
