It was a great location, 5-10 minute walk from Cardiff Central train station. Very busy street so just be aware if you are staying at the weekend. The windows were fab though, you could barely hear anything with them closed. It may be a little dated, but so clean and very comfortable. Plenty of towels, and all the necessities such as hair dryer, kettle and drinks. The staff were so helpful, letting us store our luggage after checkout so we could go shopping. 5 minute walk from Cardiff Castle, 10 minute walk from the National Museum. They had a map for us, gave local information. Would recommend, and already have! Would stay again and book direct with the hotel next time as much nicer to deal with a real person in my opinion. Overall, lovely stay, beds so comfy we slept in almost til checkout time!

Was it a 5 star hotel? No. But it doesn’t pretend to be. It was however a decent 2 star hotel for the price. Yes, it's dated, but it was clean and had character, and it made a nice change from the soulless chain hotels I normally stop in.

I am very sorry that you have not enjoyed your stay.There was a 500ml bottle of hand, hair and bodywash on the bath. More pillows would have been given on request. Fantastic location, you literally step out into the centre. Great value for money but be warned, there are quite a few steps to get up to reception and then your room as there is no lift.

Hotel was in the perfect location for us as we traveled to see a band which were playing a street away from the hotel. Was greeted by a lovely lady on reception (sorry don't know name) and she couldn't of been more polite and helpful. Considering the hotel is located in Cardiff city center it wasn't loud at night which was surprising. The room was the right temperature as well. Not too hot or cold. We had a pleasant stay and if we are ever in Cardiff again, this hotel will be our go to.:)

Location wise it's right in the heart of the city, everything is in walking distance which is great. Really friendly staff, would definitely stay again!

The property is old building but overall clean and good. Just one thing pity is no own parking. You have to park nearby NCP parking lot which was quite expensive but you can get discount code at hotels. The parking is the only issue. Hotel location is just at the center of the city. Close to shopping mall and the castle.

I love the fact that it’s family owned and just simple and nice. Be aware that there is no elevator and just stairs but it’s all good. Clean and friendly staffs as well.

Budget hotel with bath
Interior of the hotel is a bit outdated, but clean and functional. Small electric heating. It took time to heat the room, but after it stay nice warm for all our stay. Good value for money. Unlike another budget hotels, this one has a bath! No lift in the hotel

Very friendly, and centrally located hotel in the middle of Cardiff! Only negative the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night due to a guest showering and leaving the door open!

Will be staying here again.
Lovely place to stay. Staff are friendly and welcoming, place is nice and clean, and the beds are more than comfortable. Great location for anything in the middle of Cardiff too (and it's surprisingly quiet considering it's in the middle of St Mart's street). Will be staying here again.

Central to the City area, Convenient, Market Hall etc close to the Train Station, lots of stairs for higher level rooms, rents could possibly reflect this, enjoyed my stay there, would visit again 1st floor level only, staff very helpful & friendly, all OK
