“Impressed”
Reception staff made every effort to move our rooms to a more convenient location. Everyone was very helpful and the rooms were spacious and well-conceived.
“Super pool!”
Good choice while visiting Cardiff. Surfaces in room had not seen a duster of late but otherwise all was well. Lovely pool which after 5pm gets rather but rest of the time nice and quiet
“Very comfortable”
Clean and comfortable, overall good value.
“Great hotel in a good location.”
Hotel is situated near the International Arena, it is also very close to the shops and other attractions. The hotel interior in modern and clean. Rooms were a very good size and layout. We stay in a room on a lower floor, but still had an excellent views with large windows around 2 sides. Bar area was also very good and staff were excellent. I would definately think about returning on my next trip and this hotel is certainly recommended.
“Excellent Facilities”
Lovely hotel - we got a beautiful room on the 12th floor with fantstic views. I can highly recommend the pool and gym suite as well as Hodges Bar which had a pianist on the Sat night we went in. Prices too were good for the quality of the hotel and the bar prices were not a rip-off. Breakfast was not included with our deal but there were a few cafes just beside the hotel which were open for breakfast/lunch but not dinner. Although the location was good for shopping - it is not far from the top of Queen Street the main shopping street - it was a longer walk to the main restaurant areas. The Queen Street station however is just around the corner and this will take you to the Cardiff Bay area which is fantastic for eating and drinking. While we were there a match was on at the Millenium Stadium and the station was shut so we had to change at Queen Street go to Central Station and then walk about half an hour (though not sure of the way) to get back - so worthwhile checking the events schedule before you visit. Also the bus and train service from the airport to the city is poor (once an hour bus, once every two hours train - and that was during the week!) and we had to get a very expensive taxi since the service did not start early enough of Sun to get us there for the flight. A hotel nearer the centre might have saved us money in that respect but then you would have got a lot more of the hen/stag night palaver going on in those hotels whereas our hotel was quite quiet.
“Great room & great pool and gym”
I don't usually review hotels but I thought that this one was superb value for money. The rooms was large and well appointed and the gym and pool very upmarket and a good size. Staff helpful as well.
“first class”
very plush hotel, delivers what is says, would recommend for all types of occasions.
“Cardiff - R & R”
The hotel and location was excellent for the City centre, shopping, and sight seeing. The main sights were within walking distance or a bus or train hop away. A very safe and enjoyable time.
“Hotel fine - food yuk”
Good hotel, centrally located with friendy, helpful staff and very comfortable bedrooms. Food however was DIABOLICAL. Stone cold salad Nicoise and, believe me, stone cold potatoes not a good taste, topped by cooked to within an inch of its life luke warm chicken breast. Followed by cold coffee. Our waiter had the grace to be embarrased. Breakfast fine but, again, ultra weak coffee. Would stay there again but eat out.
“Good stay”
Really good hotel for price paid. Really central to the city. The room was really comfortable. Good pool/sauna facilities, too.
