“Heating not working & no kettle.”
Arrving at the hotel, check in was quick. The rooms are big, with two double beds, which is probably totally unnecessary for most travellers. As it is the start of winter, you would expect the room be warm for arrival, however it was not, after ten minutes thinking it only meant working out how the to turn up the heating. I was moved to another room, where the heatting worked. and so decided to take advantage of the complimentary coffee sachets, well I would have if there was a kettle in th room. So off to have something to eat, but the restaurant was akin to being in motorway service station so at this point I decided to head into Cardiff. Although 15minutes from the centre the walk, the route takes you accross a busy road, which can be a bit daunting for those on their own. The hotel staff are pleasant and rooms are decent, just nothing special and a bit carelessness of the important elements of staying in a hotel.
“average hotel”
condition of the hotel is average. Very squeaky beds woke up every time I turned over.
“Good value for a visit to Cardiff”
Location great if you have a car - parking is far cheaper than at the city centre hotels - and it is only a short taxi ride from the train station, Cardiff Bay and city centre. You can buy a drink in the hotel but otherwise it's a good 10 mins walk to the nearest bar. Rooms spacious and clean if a bit worn around the edges. Bathroom was big, modern and sparkling clean. Also impressed with breakfast - not a huge variety but it all tasted good.
“Cardiff”
Good clean room. 10 minute walk to downtown. Just a little tricky to get into by car
“Met the purpose perfectly”
The hotel was perfect for our needs - it was comfortable, clean, spacious and of a high quality for a budget end hotel. The staff were very attentive and helpful and very obliging. We were there for a hen weekend but were still wanting a nice and clean hotel - which this was. Breakfast was more than adequate for what we wanted and served until a decent time. The only thing that let the room down was the effectiveness of the air conditioning - it didn't really work that well on a very warm weekend. Would definitely recommend group bookings and also family stays as the rooms and bed are plenty big enough.
“Value for money”
Breakfast was average with some bits missing
“Hotel on a industrial estate”
The Hotel was next yo a big car dealer on the edge of an industrial estate & was difficult to find.
“Take own toiletries”
The room was huge between three adults we had surplus room, bit surprised only two chairs, one being comfortable. There was no complimentry toiletries, i expected at least soap, and the toilet rolls were sparce, having working in a hotel i was always told to leave at least one whole toilet roll, however running out first thing in the morning resulted in reception coming to our rescue. Nothing that would put me off returning, it was a very nice hotel, clean tidy and the staff were brill.
“Nice Hotel, very good value”
