    “Warm and welcome from the Welsh!”

    Went up to visit my daughter at University - stayed just one night. Excellent central location, room clean, tidy and spacious - Staff courteous and welcoming - wonderful indoor swimming pool if you fancy a dip! Near to central shopping area and all restaurants and bars - thankfully no noise at night, must have treble glazing! Great view overlooking castle and first class breakfast in morning. No complaints - shall be going back again!

    “Bit tired”

    Staff very helpful. A five star I'm afraid it is not. The rooms are rather tired. There is a big problem with noise in that there is often a dinner dance with a loud disco till one in the morning most weekends. The central rooms round the lifts are not suitable for sleeping in. I had to ask them to move me at midnight as I was working the next day. Good location. Internet is £15 a day and there is only cable unless it is a room near the front as one can get Openzone Wifi. Did not eat this time but in the past breakfast is quite good. At £17 a day the parking is good as one parks briefly at the front and then they take your car away. Hope this helps.

    “Fabulous hotel”

    Booked this hotel via Expedia and got a fantastic rate. My hotel room was huge with a separate walk in shower and plenty of room and just about enough sockets (plugs) for my laptop and phones. They even had a decent hair dryer too! Staff at receptionfor check in and check out and at breakfast were perfect. Polite, smiling and were very very helpful. Will certainly book this room again (if I can get the same rate!).

    “Cardiff - Hilton”

    Great location - Hotel was very nice - the leisure club was very good - used pool every day but unfortunately the steam room our of action - room was satisfactory but we have been spoilt by the Madrid Hilton which is fantastic, this was nothing out of the ordinary but very clean which is important, couldn't get the hang of the heating controls, which is very unlike us. Breakfast was of the usual high standard - so overall a very pleasant stay, and Cardiff was a really nice place to stay, great shops, history etc and the Bay was a nice day out, plenty of restaurants in the bay and the town you certainly wouldnt go hungry.

    “Disappointed, very, very disappointed.”

    I regularly stay in mid price hotels for work related travel. For a special family occasion I decided that a weekend in the Hilton would be a treat for myself, my wife and my son and his. To start with the key cards for both rooms didn't work. This continued all weekend, 5 visits to get them reset. The toilet would not flush, quickly fixed but still did not flush away properly. The shower was grubby with mould. In the piano bar on Saturday lunchtime it took 35 minutes to get lukewarm coffee and we were the only ones in there. The complimentary wine was prompt and appreciated but overall our expectations were not met. This is not my idea of how the Hilton brand should be and I consider the value to be very poor. Sorry!

    “would recommend this hotel”

    Attended a private function and then stayed the night. The service and food at the private function was great. Staff in general at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. Car valet service was great.

    “Enjoyable stay”

    Reception staff here were very helpful and had no problem in extending our stay for an extra night at short notice. Comfortable room and ideal location for our needs.

    “Great Hotel, but in need of a make over”

    Had a lovely stay at the Hilton Cardiff. Staff were very friendly and the service was exceptionally good. Food was great. The only downside was the rather dated decor, the rooms and hallways are definitely in need of a makeover.

    “Very nice Hilton stay”

    Great location in amongst the shopping mall and restaurants. We had a lovely room looking over the Cardiff castle. Reception so lovely and friendly. Parking was over priced at £17 for the night and no free wi-fi.

    “Very Impressed”

    From the time we pulled up & the Doorman took charge of our luggage to the time (3 days later) we checked out we couldn't fault a single thing about the Cardiff Hilton. We had just spent 5 weeks travelling around the UK & Ireland & stayed in a lot of different hotels & guest houses & the Hilton was the best by a fair margin.Staff were always attentive & friendly & couldn't do enough for you. Would highly recommend to anyone.
