“Finest hotel”
This was the finest hotel we stayed at in 3 weeks in France. Summer season just ended and they up graded us to a lovely room with a view of the ramparts and a garden. Fantastic location, clean and spacious. Outstanding staff.
“Stunning Location”
This is a great hotel in a totally stunning location right in the centre of Carcassonne. Everything is right on hand, as is the hotel pool. We were given an upgraded garden room, with our own balcony and steps down to the garden and the pool. The room was lovely with plenty of space and room to put all our things away. We were met exactly as advised on the hotel website and our car safely parked for us overnight each night (at a cost). We even learnt how to retract both door mirrors at once to squeeze through the narrow spaces. People arriving complaining of difficulty in accessing the place clearly hadn't done any research beforehand! The staff were all very helpful. Apart from the standard French rock hard bed, our main issue was with the cost. The breakfast price seemed mad. The hotel told us there was nowhere else in town where you could get breakfast, but we didn't believe them and found several cafes very close by offered a 5 euro breakfast of juice, croissant, bread and tea/coffee. I'm sure you get more than that at the hotel. The dinner was too expensive even to try, although we would have liked to try it as the menu looked great. This is the place to stay in Carcassonne. But possibly not the place to eat.
“Couldn't wish for a better position or better views”
The hotel is right in the heart of the city and has a fantastic ambience. The staff were very helpful and the food amazing - La Barbacane stands up to its star rating and the brasserie almost as good. Our room was lovely although somewhat dark but very well equipped. The only down side was the maid service - the bed was made but not much else - forgot to wash glasses or replenish toileteries/coffee etc. BUT that being said I would highly recommend the hotel. We had a fantastic weekend.
“costly but lovely”
Beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds - very expensive and i didn't think breakfast was worth the cost - the bar is fab and the pool area is great - lots of lovely restaurants and shops within the walls
“Top Class Hotel”
Fabulous experience. Great location. Got upgraded to a garden room and it was a real treat to walk out into the gardens from the room. Fantastic views from the garden of the chateau and over the city. This is a hotel that everyone should make the effort to stay at and blow the expense. The surrounding area is facinating with picturesque mountains, gorges, castles and rich in history.
“Hôtel de la Cité à Carcassonne intra muros”
Emplacement de rêve à l'intérieur des remparts, calme absolu, personnel charmant, accueil personnalisé avec tout un tas de petites attentions... Un voyage dans le temps avec le confort du XXIème siècle. Ne pas rater le petit déjeuner pantagruélique. Le prix est totalement justifié... Toutefois, si vous choisissez un séjour avec prix aménagés, n'espérez pas dormir dans la partie "remparts" mais plutôt dans la maison adjacente -aussi belle d'ailleurs, mais moins "typique"- à laquelle on accède par un charmant petit passage vitré.
“AU COEUR D'UN SITE HISTORIQUE”
cet hotel fait partie integrante des remparts de la cite de carcassonne il a un grand caractère , son luxe n'est pas tapageur et il y règne une impression voluptueuse de se trouver dans un des derniers vestiges des grandeurs

Fue una estancia mu agradable, con gente amable y atenta. Una habitación muy cuidada y un restaurante de lujo para probar.

旧市街の城壁内にあるので場所は素晴らしいです。 しかしながら、 風呂の蛇口は施工ミスでシャワーが使えない状態だったり、 送迎を頼んでも時間帯によっては断られるなどの事もあり、 価格に見合った部屋と設備とサービスとは言えませんでした。 城壁内には他にもホテルもあるのでそちらの方がお勧めかもしれません。
