Novotel Kayseri, Cappadoccia,Turkey

Pros: It`s a modern hotel with very good service.
Cons: Not allowing for hotel personnel to get a commission for the amount the taxi driver will charge you.(This happens in most of Turkey`s good hotels)
Location: Novotel is a short taxi drive to the airport.You can use the airport shuttle service back and forth to Goreme,Cappadoccia or take a bus(station near).
Very nice hotel, with very good restaurant service, great location to visit Cappadoccia (a 45 minute drive), and not spend too much money.In Turkey, you need to be able to bargain because I feel people in the tourism business are extremely ambitious so they will try to charge as much as they can. If you take a taxi find out before what would be reasonable to pay and ask the taxi driver before you get in how much he will charge. The problem is that most taxi drivers in Turkey don`t speak English very well so it can sometimes be difficult to communicate with them. If you ask the hotel people for help it might not really help because you can tell that some will probably get a commission on what you spend. Although there was a young woman who works at the front desk of this Novotel who was very helpful because she recommended for us to go take a taxi to the bus station and then a bus to Goreme which we did and this was a great experience and not too expensive. On our way back to the hotel, we used the airport shuttle and a taxi. The next day instead of taking a group tour, we bargained with a taxi driver and got a tour of the southern part of Cappadoccia and the last day we bargained with another taxi driver to give us a tour of the northern part and back to the airport . It was great !!! If you are ever in Turkey, don`t miss Cappadoccia. It is spectacular and unique in the world!!!!! You should spend a minumun of 2 nights.

Erciyes kayak tatili için gittiğim Kayseride,Novotel kahvaltı tatili yaptım.Seviyeli konuklarla kahvaltı ve lobide örgü keyfi yaparak Erciyes dağının bana oynadığı oyunu unutmaya çalıştım.5 günlük kayak tatilinde sadece bir gün kaymamıza izin verdi yaşlı Erciyes.Belki de tatilde tepesine doluşmamızdan yoruldu.Pistler de yollar da kapalıydı.Team Leader YILDIRAY DEMİR bütün konuklarla tek tek ilgilendi.Kendisine buradan özellikle teşekkür ederim.İKBAL HUNALP

Otel personeli ve resepsiyon sen derece güler yüzlü ve yardımsever, şehire yabancı olmamıza rağmen verdikleri ip uçları ile bize oldukça yardımcı oldular bir nevi 'help desk' edası ile çalışıyorlar bu da çok hoşumuza gitti. Odalar gayet büyük ve konforlu, temizlikte çok titizler.Bir daha gelince burada kalmayı düşünebiliriz. Fakat 2 konuda yeniden değerlendirme yapmalarını bekliyorum ; 1)Fiyata kahvaltının dahil olmaması ve kahvaltı için istenen ücretin standartın oldukça üstünde olması biraz canınızı sıkabilir, otel bu konuda bir revize yaparsa bence dört dörtlük olacaktır. 2)Kapalı otoparklarının bulunmamasından dolayı aracınız siz sabah kalktığınızda buz tutmuş olabiliyor malum hava gece -18 C'ye kadar düşmekte,aracı tekrar çalıştırıp buzları kırmak için en az 30 dk uğraşmanız gerekiyor, otel bu konuda biraz eksik ve aracınızı koruyacak bir tente yada kapalı alan bulunmuyor.

Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet. Worth the 35 Lira.
Cons: Fix the air conditioner
Location: We didn't have time to see things nearby
It would have been perfect except that the air conditioner only puts out heat when turned on and this was the experience of two of my traveling companions in their separate accommodations. Luckily is was cool enough to leave the window open.

Pros: The breakfast buffet was fantastic.
Cons: Fix the air conditioner.
Location: We didn't have a chance to see nearby attractions
It would have been perfect except that the air conditioner only puts out heat when turned on and this was the experience of two of my traveling companions in their separate accommodations. Luckily is was cool enough to leave the window open however, there was the smell of some distant wood burning in the air.
