“A real find!”
This was a lovely hotel. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, there was a high standard of cleanliness in all areas and the breakfast was a treat to look forward to each day. It is within walking distance of the downtown area and handy for many of the sights. All in all, a very positive experience. We will be back!
“Great value, great view and great staff - Great Cape 2008”
This was the best value for money hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were so stylish and well designed and finished - and if you get to room 1203 (the top floor) you have a great view of table mountain (well 70%) and another mountain to the side. Lie on the comfy bed and all you see are mountains and blue sky. The staff are so so helpful and friendly - no corporate stuff just decent people. I was there late Sept and they were refurbing reception - so there was drilling but you have to stay in all day which is not why you are there. They will then do the restaurant but you only need that for breakfast - so please don't moan as I have warned you that these are little things that they are doing to make it even better.
“Excellent hotel”
Well situated hotel, with good breakfast, and very reasonably priced room service. Parking next to the hotel. (fee payable) Rooms well decorated in minimalist style, leading to my only complaints- not enough drawer space and the light was not good enough to read by at night. However, on the whole, I would recommend the hotel for a short stay in Cape town to see the sights.
“Excellent central base with great staff”
I stayed three nights at the Townhouse Hotel and found it great value. The staff could not have been more helpful; the breakfast was excellent; and the one night I had dinner there it was very good. My room was well equipped, but very small, making it rather a squeeze to get me and my luggage into it. A longer stay might have been less pleasant in this respect. But it is my only reservation about an otherwise excellent hotel that is right in the central business district.
“Central Location, Ideal For Solo Traveller”
Good central location, ideal for the solo traveller without a car. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Room spacious and well equipped.
