“Good value for money”
I stayed here for two days in Aug 2011. The staff members were very courteous and friendly. It exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed with the room, I stayed in studio suite. My room was very spacious equipped with all modern amenities. Location of the hotel is perfect, very close to Table Mountains and beach. The hotel doesn't have room service but there are many restaurants close by. I guess that's the only drawback. It is not recommended for long stays. I didn't use laundry services, therefore can't comment on the quality. Overall I had a good time in the hotel, not even one bad experience.
“Nice hotel and lovely staff”

“very good hotel with expedia rate”
we are a family with 2 children and were very happy with this hotel. staff were very nice and the views of the sea were great. i don't think it would have been worth the money ( compared to other places in cape town we stayed) had we not had a buy 2 get one free night deal with expedia though.
“disappointed, over rated in their ad and descriptions, definitely not a 4.5 star hotel”
The best thing about this hotel is that all the staffs are all very friendly. However, It is an over rated old hotel. Definitely not a 4.5 star hotel. It should be only 3 ot 3.5 stars. It is not an luxuary hotel as they claimed. The room is much bigger than other hotel but it is not a suite as they claimed. It is still just a hotel room. There are chips on the wall, dirty grout on the shower wall. The shower door does not close at one end and is not seal on the other end cause leakage to the floor eveytime you shower. Only a few rooms on the top floor gets ocean view. The location is not convenient being too far from the V & A waterfront where most of the activities occurs. You must have a rental car to get there and it cost about 50 Rand per night for parking. You also need to pay for internet access. The lobby is small and the decor is not impressive for its rating.
“So so - not the best option out there”
Decent hotel - close to Table-top mountain - but not much else in that area. The views from most of the rooms are lousy - i saw a laudromat from mine! The staff (especially Sarah) was quite helpful - helped us get event tickets, directions, local stuff to do around Cape Town, etc. Decent food options in the supporting area - a couple of Thai restaurants, one italian restaurant, good breakfast place (NY Bagels), mediterranean, greek, etc. Overall - average place - I'd recommend it for a short stay. Thanks.
“Great hotel, great staff”
Spent 3 days here in March, 2011. The check-in process was very smooth, with courteous and professional staff. Rooms are very nicely equipped, and clean. There is a kitchenette, for a potential self-catering stay, but we dined out. A very nice(hot) breakfast is included. There is pay-as-you-go wifi, and a small business center with a printer. The surrounding area is nice and safe, one block from the beach (but not a suitable beach for swimming, you will have to drive for that). Had a lovely stay, hotel is highly recommended.
“Good Choice”
Very nice hotel if you have your own car. The room was nice but we did not get a great view. Not much to do around, even though you can find one very nice restaurant 2 blocks away. We got a very good price deal 2 nights get 1 free and the value for money was great. I would go back again.
“A Perfect Cape Town Hotel”
Great location and a lovely hotel. Rooms very spacious and well set out with fantastic views of the sea and the mountain. Bantry Bay is the perfect spot, sheltered from the wind. Housekeeping a bit erratic (some days a turn down service, others not, 2 chocolates one day, 1 the next etc) but very friendly and helpful staff. Sarah at the front desk particularly efficient. Excellent value for money with expedia deal.
“A Top Class Hotel”
This is a very nice hotel and lives up to it's 5 Star billing. The suites are huge with a balcony which faces the sea. They are well equipped and would be perfect for longer stays. The hotel is well run and the staff are extremely friendly. The complementary breakfast is extensive and is a great start to the day. Although close to the small beach there are few restaurants in the local area so you really need to drive to eat. That said, The V&A waterfront is a 10 min taxi ride where the choice is extensive. Overall this is an excellent hotel.
“Excellent Hotel - Though You Need A Car”
Excellent hotel with great service, attentive staff, good breakfast, clean room etc (though lighting a little dim). Any issue you might have is location - it's at the far end of the promenade. Not a problem if you have a car (and secure parking - R35 a night) though. It's also set off a quite noisy junction if you have one oft the rooms at the back or the side, but overall, though with these considerations aside, I would certainly recommend this hotel.
