“Great service & value”

I found this hotel to exceed my expectations. The staff went out of their way to address any concerns. One exception is the internet - the signal is weak & from what I was told, this is a problem in many rooms. I was able to use the internet in the courtyard & breakfast area without any concern whatsoever. The parking is very convenient & very safe. There are lots of restaurants in the immediate area - coffee shops too. Hotel staff gave excellent directions to all the local wineries, etc. The internet challenges is the only reason I didn't rate this hotel a 5 of 5.

“Charming old hotel, good base for touring”

A charming little hotel dating back to the 1700s and set around a small courtyard. And its very convenient for the wine routes. Breakfasts were good and the evening food though not excellent was good enough. The wines were good quality and inexpensive. The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. There are numerous restaurants and pavement cafes around the town centre and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We would definitely go back here again

Area recommendations
Recommend the town centre for pleasant little shops and restaurants. It was very clean and tidy and we had nothing but smiles from everyone. Stellenbosch is convenient for the wine routes and also for the sea coast at Gordon's Bay and Betty's Bay where there is a lively Penguin Colony

Outside of African Summer - it is very hot between November and February

“Sehr gute Lage und auch sonst ordentlich”

Das Hotel liegt direkt in der Innenstadt, nur ca. 200m von einer größeren Einkaufsmeile entfernt. Es verfügt über eine Tiefgarage, was aufgrund der katastrophalen Parksituation in dieser Umgebung ein echter Pluspunkt ist.Trotzdem ist es recht ruhig in diesem Hotel gewesen. Die Zimmer sind verhältnismäßig klein aber haben teilweise einen Balkon und eine Minibar. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das Restaurant mit angeschlossener Bar. Die Frühstücksleistung war ok. Das Hotel entspricht dem Komfort eines 3 Sterne Hotels.
