“Perfect location and the most attention you will receive anywhere!”

The Dock House is perfectly located in the V & A Waterfront. It is part of a group of quality hotels all adjacent to each other. Nothing is too much trouble for them to arrange for you. They are interested in their guests and go out of their way to ensure that everything is perfect. The standards are excellent and the service is exemplary, but relaxed. If you are staying in Cape Town and you want the personal touch then don't look anywhere else.

Area recommendations
Go to Robben Island, but book early online, great value and a really interesting insight into South Africa. Take a ride up Signal Hill for the view. Don't rely on the Table Mountain cable car it closes if there is too much wind! You must go to Kirstenbosch Gardens and take a picnic! Hire a car and drive around the Cape coast and come back via the Chapman's Drive coast road ( small toll charge). Do the Whales boat trip at Hermanus or see them from the helicopter, there are plenty of flight options to choose from but Nac Makana are first class operators and they fly from the V&A Waterfront. Spend a day eating and drinking at the waterfront, the Ferryman's own brew is great! Go downtown for a day, there's squares, gardens and old buildings and market stalls a plenty. If you are eating out , Aubergine and the Five Flies should be on your list. The weather in August is changeable, but you get used to taking your fleece on and off. The sun is glorious one day and it rains the next but it is winter and that's a bonus because you can access everything.

“Great Experience for this couple from Phx”

Highly recommended for couples and single travelers. General Manager is a delight and focused on making your stay fabulous. Just far enough off the water front to be an oasis, but close enough to walk to all the waterfront shops and restaurants. Rooms are huge, breakfast menu varied and food delicious. Spa is next door and first class.
