I owned a small house in Cape May which I recently sold. I needed to stay at a hotel during the house closing process. As I have been a frequent visitor to the Blue Pig, etc.and have wondered what a stay at CH would be like, I decided to try it out.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The staff was very efficient and courteous. They were extremely helpful. The facilities were clean and inviting with season's decor. Every detail ensures your comfort and relaxation. Their food was excellent.
My wife and I needed to get away for a weekend and we love Cape May, so we booked 2 nights in late October. The Marquis de Lafayette was the perfect hotel for our trip. It's within walking distance of everything and we were able to walk to the beach, great restaurants, bars, shopping and even the horse carriage tours. We had a great time as there were many Halloween-themed events over the weekend. Also, waking up to a hot breakfast buffet each morning was fantastic. Food was great and staff was wonderful. Overall the room was very clean and attended to daily by the housekeeping staff, who were very attentive and did an amazing job. We will definitely come back!
Stayed in another hotel across from this one it wasn't as good and that hotel is famous. This is an historic hotel food was great entertainment was excellent and the room was spacious and quaint they made our stay special

My wife and I have just returned from a two day stay at PSI. We were very impressed! The staff was exceptional, friendly and professional. The room was clean and fresh.Our room had a fireplace and modern bath. The Inn had a remodelling a few years ago. There is a nice common area where wine and cheese is served from six o'clock until 8 o'clock. We meet three couples there and had an enjoyable time chatting with them Tuesday night. Breakfast was served every day from 8:30 until 10;00. There were many choices and each was tasty and well prepared..
We plan on coming back again next October for another relaxing step back in time.
