“Good location, good value”
Good location for activities and shopping. An alternative to the formality/restrictions of Bed and Breakfasts which are the normal option on this part of the Cape. No elevator - so lugging bags to 2nd floor a pain. Would definitely stay there again. Staff very pleasant.
“Autumn Weekend Get-away”
We traveled to the Cape in November to attend an event in Woods Hole. The Inn is a quick drive to Woods Hole, which has the Oceanographic Institute, the Marine Biological Labratories, an aquarium, quaint shops and several restaurants. The Inn is also a short walk to downtown Falmouth, which has an abundance of little shops; great for Christmas shopping. The Inn was easy to locate, the staff was friendly, and we had a relaxing weekend.
“A bit disappoionted”
The hotel is situated in a convenient location. The room was clean, however there was a distinct smell that was present only on the second floor of the main building...not very pleasant. Breakfast at the hotel was very bad. I strongly suggest going somewhere outside to dine. The biggest problem I had was the size of the room. We booked two queen beds, but the room was so small one could barely walk around without hitting the furniture. Nothing even remotely close to the pictures on the hotel website. Pool was nice. Front desk was not always readily available to take calls. All in all I will not go back.
“Loved the Inn on Square!”
Loved this hotel, perfect location!
“Comfortable Beds! Nice location. Very clean. I would go back!”
The beds and room were comfortable. Good location, short walk to center of town. Breakfast and lunch right next door. This was our second visit and would go back again.
“Lovely experience for short stay.”
Girlfriend and I stayed at the Inn on the Square on two occasions...one night each time. Location was perfect. A pleasant stroll to shopping district and restaurants. Room was well-equipped and mattresses comfortable. Two queen beds left little floor space, but fine for a brief stay. Staff was cordial and helpful. Would stay there again.
“Nervous after reading other reviews, however pleasantly suprised!”
After reading many reviews, we were very hesitant on this hotel. However, it was not as bad as some reviews stated. When we arrived, our room was not ready, so they upgraded us to a jacuzzi room for one night at no extra charge. When they found out we were there for our anniversary they gave us the room for our entire stay at no extra charge! The only drawback is the noise from the highway right out the windows, but there isn't much you can do about that. We did a lot of driving around the Cape, and didn't see any other place that we would have rather stayed at. The appearance of this hotel is very nice and New England style. There is a restaurant attached the the hotel, called Percy's. We were excited to try their lobster omlet, and were very disappointed to find they took all the lobster off the menu..big disappointment since we were there to eat as much seafood as we could! I have to agree with the reveiws regarding their service as well, it was very slow. There is a better option down the road called Crabapple, they have a lobster benedict to die for and their service was much faster too!
“Nice but too small”
The hotel was nice. It had a nice location. My husband checked in and the woman in the front was very rude when we arrived. The inn is nice and convenient, but if we were staying longer, we would have asked for a larger room. It was so small that the bathroom seamed larger.
“Some what disappointed..”
When we get there it was 8pm. We had room in the separate building. Room was really small...it was nothing like pictures. Went to front desk to switch the room. She said since we got there so late there was no room available and ask us to come back next morning. Since there was no hallway, every time we opened door mosquitoes got in. Also smelled really bad. Next morning we moved to the room in the main building. Room was little bit bigger but still nothing like pictures. No smell in the 2nd room. However we had to switch the room again because door could opened by credit card from outside.
“loved it!”
great location, very clean & comfortable. I wish we could stay longer.
