“Good Value”
Bathroom sink stopper kept getting stuck and there was a constant humming noise coming from somewhere but overall for the cost it was very good. Nice 2 pools and hot tub. The coffee in the room is very good.
“Heritage House Getaway”
The hotel is very nice and very clean which is important to me. I stayed in the main lobby which was convenient however if you were to be in separate building Im not sure what the experience would be. The hotel is in a great location, right on main st. and close to everything. The wifi is not reliable and mostly only works in the main lobby. The staff is very nice and the room was always kept clean. I wouldn't do an extended stay there but for a short getaway the location and price are good.
“Generally OK, but...”
Generally this Hotel is fine, if a little pricey for what you get, but I think that's what's to be expected in this area. Location great for the ferry to Nantucket, so a day trip is very easy (although the staff gave conflicting information about the availability of a slightly reduced fare when buying your tickets in reception). The Hotel is quite large with different blocks. Disappointing that the internet wireless connection didn't cover the block that I was in, but that's a minor grumble.
“satisfied from upstate, NY”
We were satisfied with our clean, comfortable room which over looked the pool. Staff was very accomadating. Location was absolutely perfect! Short walk to beaches, ferry and located in the heart of all main shops and restaurants. The only time we drove was the day we went to Provincetown. Only negatives were no fitness room and even though the staff was friendly and helpful, most did not speak/ understand English very good. Our family would definitely stay again!
“Acceptable, but no more”
1st room we were shown was adjacent ice machine and entrance to building and smelled moldy. We asked for a room change and were given it without question, so plus points on that. Beds were pretty hard. Rooms just felt like a cheap hotel. Lots of bus tour traffic thru this hotel. Breakfast buffet looked normal but had no taste (go to Perry's instead), also the tables and chairs were sticky which to me is always a sign of cleanliness problems. The staff and especially the manager were very friendly and helpful. Interesting that there was a strong Brazilian contingent on staff and elsewhere in Hyannis. Definitely go to Not Your Average Joe's restaurant (a drive away from hotel) for an interesting and usually innovative meal (try their bacon blue mini pizza as an appetizer - great). I'd recommend this hotel only as acceptable and only because everything else in Hyannis seems to be at about the same level.
“Horrible experience”
My family and I were horrified by the room we were given at the Heritage House. The perimeter of our room was wet to the point where the carpet was darker at the edges and the room smelled of mold. To make matters worse we started to find bugs- they looked like some type of wood eating beetle- in the room. There were baby and adult bugs crawling around. There was no way we were staying in that room for even a night so we moved hotels.
“Pleasant Surprise”
Our stay was better then expected. I read the reviews on this Hotel, which were not raving but most said it was a great location. I thought it was an excellent choice for a hotel in Hyannis - very clean and comfortable, nice pool and restaurant. I would definately recommend it.
“Don't stay on building D and E”
I guess the older building D and E's floor are wood floor. It was so noisy when people above me walking. If you want a good night sleep don't stay at this hotel, especially building D and E.
“Would not go back”
The location of this hotel was pretty good. Other than that, there was nothing more to say positive about our stay here. We were put in one of the back motel rooms, despite having confirmation of our pool view deluxe room. I was informed the hotel part was full, and the rooms were the same. This was clearly not true immediately, as the TV in the room was the smallest I have ever seen, and although the room was fairly clean, there were many marks on the walls, and several cigarette burns in the bedspreads..despite supposedly being non-smoking. We came back to the hotel at 7:30pm, to find no parking. As they do not give parking cards for guests, apparently anyone walking to the near by bars park in the lot. The worst of it though was the 20 to 30 young men that were having a drinking party immediately outside our window, none of which appeared to be actual guests. I complained to the girl at the front desk, who did not seem to be surprised by this. She did manage to get someone to break this up for a short while, only to have them return later in the night, louder than ever. Needless to say, we overpaid for what we were promised and had a very sleepless night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially with children. There are many more motels, and real hotels, close by for the same price.
“Excellent budget hotel”
We are retirees and visit places "off-season" and "off-peak", as, Cape Cod staying the evening of Memorial Day (everybody else going back to work or school) We have stayed at Heritage three times, excellent value for the money. Beds are comfortable, pool & spa actually are in operation, staff very friendly. Rooms are very simple, no frills, justa great, clean place to stay if money is important. We will return.
