Very friendly and helpful staff. We had one night at the lodge and the staff ( Anne) helped plan our visit to make best use of our time. The staff also put on entertainment in the evening which introduced my wife and I to the Island. Well done Kendall - Very helpful. The room had everything we needed and the food was delicious. Ask for a room facing the lake, it costs a bit more but its worth it to sit in the evening and simply take in the ambience. Great place to stop over.
was a little leary reading previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised by the curb appeal, location and state of room. the staff was incredible and bent over themselves to accommodate myself and other guests. the light breakfast was fresh and plentiful. the bed was more comfortable than my own. its what it should be, a quaint, comfortable, well maintained maritime experience. the shower pressure was low and the hot and cold taps interchanged but other than that it was immaculate, fresh and airy. its not a hotel room, it doesn't have a fridge or microwave, its a motel and a good one. I stayed in muir lodge. beautiful surroundings, awesome. it would be a priviledge to go back again.
We were there over a busy long weekend. We were pleasantly surprised at how large this place was. The pub was busy, food was good. Breakfast was great, best bacon we ever had. Had the firepit at night to ourselves. Only complaint, was bed was a bit firm for our liking, but no bed compares to the one at home.
Would definetly go back again.
