“Good quality for the price”

I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Granted this was not a 5 star hotel. However, they did provide a very clean room with a nice comfortable bed for a very reasonable price.

“Got the job done”

Needed somewhere to stay for work-related obligations and it was great. The staff was friendly, the cookies were incredible, and the dinners and breakfast was very good. Not a five star hotel but it was perfect for what I needed.

“Fairfield Inn - Canton, MI”

Overall we had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had no problems with our room, check-in/out, or anything else having to do with the hotel. Convenient location! Again, great staff!!

“Basic and affordable”

Nothing spectacular about the hotel....is worth the price and in a good location. Close to major highways, lots of restuarants and has the basics of what you want in a hotel room. If you just need a place to sleep, this is great for the money.

“average”

The blower was not working and the faucet in the tub was not working correctly. The lady at the front desk on Saturday morning was not friendly and said maintenance would come when available. I just wanted to get my hair dried as quickly as possible so I could leave the hotel and start my day. Cleaning people & maintenance were VERY friendly.

“Cheap hotel...for lacking service”

We used this hotel over the weekend for a friends wedding. The hotel was cheap so we decided to book it. The up keep of the room seems to be lacking. The room was very dark and needed some redecorating. The shower in the morning was warm but never got hot. ( mind you that I waited 20 minutes for it to get hot just to find out that the knob was broken and I needed to turn it the opposite way ). Overall, I guess you get what you pay for. If you need a place to rest your head and you don't care...the hotel is cheap and in a good location.

“Don't use this hotel-Fairfield Canton”

Our room was small and musty. The TV remote, hair dryer and telephone didn't work. The hair dryer was replaced. One night our room was not cleaned until after 8:00pm. I don't think we will return to this hotel.

Area recommendations

The Canton area is very nice, shopping, restaurants etc. The next time we will stay at a Hampton in the same area.

There is a JC Penney's in Canton area along with a Kohl's, Sam's Club, Walmart and not too far away a wonderful mall called The Oaks.

“well priced”

well priced for 2 double bed with free breakfast, internet, parking and next to highway exit, Ikea, marshall, Traget and JC Penny to shop . only problem was water leakage in washroom and no one came to fix. hotel offered another room anyway we have to leave.

“recommend only for location”

After I got home, on the same day I checked out, I realized that I had forgotten something in the room. I had left a cloth laundry bag with some clothing in it hanging behind the bathroom door. I called the hotel right away and the young lady assured me that she would put the item in the mail. Then I gave her my home address. Well, I STILL don't have my clothes and laundry bag. The breakfast bar was not well-maintained. The juice dispenser was mis-labeled and when food items ran out they were not replenished.

the IKEA store and the greater Detroit area, especially the Detroit Institute of Arts
