The Millers Arms is a charming old Pub, beautifully well maintained looked to be recently refurbished still retaining its original features with a hint of contemporary. My Room was a perfect size for a couple with a great ensuite. The food was again excellent and well presented and the Dining area had a wonderful rustic charm. The reception / Bar was warm and welcoming with great Staff 100% committed to making your stay a good one. I will be returning :)
We arrived after 10 pm so needed to contact security to get our keys. Very friendly and helpful security. We had contacted them previously because we were driving from Manchester to Canterbury and thought we were going to arrive very late.
Our room was at the front on the ground floor so the entire room was visible from the public footpath approaching and alongside the building- so no privacy at all if the curtains were open. The room was next to the entrance so you could hear comings and goings throughout the stay-. no one was unacceptably noisy it was the situation of the room and poor sound proofing.
Nice toiletries, towels and bedding. No side lamp so had to get out of bed to turn light off. TV worked fine with sleep setting.
Breakfast was the usual cooked English tasty enough but a little cold.
We were grateful to have found somewhere to stay for the night that wasn't going to break the bank and this time also included breakfast. We would stay there again if there was no where else because there was no hint of 'luxury' which what we like when away and not very central- 20 minutes walk to nearest pub. But there was nothing really wrong at all and the security guards were lovely.
The staff were very welcoming. The room was excellent with good facilities and the standard of cleanliness was superb. Being set back from the road in it's own grounds, the rooms were quiet.
There was parking available close to the hotel entrance and seating outside to enable you to sit in the sunshine and enjoy the gardens.

Everything was good at this small hotel. Friendly staff, clean and pretty room & bathroom, comfy bed.
Great breakfast with lots of choice. Pool was lovely! Convenient for a choice of restaurants just a short walk away. Would definitely stay here again.
Clean and well equipped the lodge lacked nothing to facilitate a relaxing and easy going stay. Staff in the main club were helpful and informative and the restaurant had a good menu with beautiful food and drink.
The lodge was private but not isolated with the option of a short woodland walk, lovely after our excellent evening meal.
Our only disappointment was we had not booked longer.
This ancient city lies on the River Stour, where visitors can enjoy a tranquil riverboat tour of the town which is home to a host of World Heritage Sites. Having survived the bombings of WWII, the magnificent cathedral has a spectacular history and offers audio and guided tours for visitors wanting to learn more about the area's fascinating past.
