Sweet Old-fashioned Hotel
I have stayed at Sun Riviera 3 times, and love it’s quaint French feel. The staff are friendly, especially Louis on reception, and the rooms are clean & comfortable. My only complaint it that breakfast is rather meagre, and there’s no fresh coffee, only a machine. Great value-for-money though!

Very nice hotel. Really nice! Representative who was checking in us poorly speaker English, that was a little problem. Otherwise- very good experience with this hotel.

Great location in Cannes
Very conveniently located on the main shopping street and close to the beach. Clean, comfortable room. Only problem was that the pillows were very flat so not so comfortable.

Conveniently located Cannes hotel
The hotel was in a perfect location - right on the main shopping street of Cannes - rue d’Antibes and only minutes from the beach. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Only the pillows were the flattest I’ve ever seen so not that comfortable. There’s a beautiful grassy back yard with a small swimming pool and loungers but there was a sign saying no swimming allowed. Perhaps due to Covid but I had just stayed at another hotel in Cannes where swimming in the pool was permitted.

Quiet location at night. No noise from bars or restaurants which is a major problem in Cannes.

Staff were on the whole very pleasant. Room was clean but needed some fresh re-decorating. Swimming pool was out of use & breakfast was a little disappointing with no fresh fruit available.

My visit to Cannes
Good central location. Excellent hotel staff who were very helpful. Room on the 2nd floor with balcony overlooking the garden and pool. Very comfortable room with excellent air con. Will be staying again.

Stayed there during Cannes Film Festival. Most properties in Cannes I feel are very overpriced during the film festival. This hotel is no exception. But I did have a wonderful experience while there. It was walking dustance from the festival so it suited its purpose. I would compare it to Marriott in quality even tho Marriott is not so over priced. But very nice hotel.

We had a great stay and the location was perfect. I told the front desk manager that I found a cheaper rate online than she was able to offer me in person and she told me I was required to forward my booking email, which I thought was weird. However, the hotel itself was great. Shower was incredible after staying for a week in cramped showers.

Great location in the middle of Cannes.
I would have rated the hotel higher but the lift was out of order on the second day of my trip and I had to take the stairs for 4 floors which didn't suit me at all following surgery on my back. The breakfast selection was quite poor for the 18 euro price tag. My room was very quiet and the bed was super comfortable.

Clean hotel in a good location
The hotel is dated but very clean. The air con in the room was poor so we didnt sleep well during our stay, we were too hot. The bed and linen however were clean and good quality. The odd empty bottle of wine and water were left on our terrace for days and used wine glasses had not been removed or washed and replaced so we were left with dirty glasses in our room for most of the stay. It’s not a huge issue it’s just that the overall comfort of our stay was lacking as a result. Also our key cards kept failing to work so we would have to keep going down to reception for them to reissue the keys. Most days. Great location and nice pool outside. Very clean hotel and nice staff.

Traditional hotel in the heart of Cannes with pool
The hotel is very traditional in decor. They have a small pool which is a nice touch in the heart of the city. The room is immaculately clean but could probably do with updating. In saying that the hotel is very traditional so they style fits the way the hotel is. The bed is comfortable and the linen is high quality. However the air conditioning is not very effective so we found the room stuffy and a bit warm at night (we’re staying in August no it is warm at the moment).

Very good combination of price-location-comfort
It is already our 4th stay at this hotel. Absolutely love it!!! Reasonably priced. Very clean, excellent shopping location, 5 min walking to the beach. Fresh bed linen and towels. Many thanks to reception and housekeeping to make our stay stressless. Garden view rooms are the best in the hotel. Definitely will come back to Sun Rivera.

Sun Rivera in Cannes was great . Nice location, 5 euro taxi or 10/15 min walk to old town/trade fair. Nice and clean and tidy, good size room with a deck. Would stay again for sure!

Excellent quality budget hotel in Cannes
I've stayed here twice and been impressed each time. Excellent location on Rue d'Antibes behind the Carlton. I've had smaller and less comfortable rooms at the Carlton in the past. Highly recommended when price is a factor.

Good location, not so great accommodation.
Good location. Overpriced services eg. Breakfast with a limited choice, espresso at €5, drinks etc. Being changed room service when we went to order coffee to the bar and took it ourselves to the room. Staff not very friendly or helpful. Asked for a wakeup call, that was half an hour later, we were refused coffee service at 7am, even when prior agreed with the staff a night before. The pool is a pond. The balcony with the city view was a 30cm platform with doors. The restaurant - food from jars reheated in a microwave. No kettle in the room. Wifi signal very poor. Overall, the four star rating of the hotel is based on thicking boxes with an absolute minimum to achieve it. Good location - not far to the beach, shops or restaurants.

Great value for off season stay in Cannes. Location and pretty garden are good assets. Many restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. You save by going to these for breakfast, which as usual in French hotels, is overpriced.

Arrived at the hotel and a very helpfull attendet did our chek in, no problem. Because of the storm she said that no phone, internet or credit cards were accepted, we understood left a deposit in cash and used the 3G Wirelles WI FI that only worked at the front desk. That was it other than her all others were really rude, no one could speak any english nor be helpfull. The 3G Moden disapeard. Noisy, and unpolite workers. Parking in the hotel is a steall park on a public parking almost in front of the hotel. Contruction starts at 8am and stops at 8 pm, if you are willing to sleep in forget it...Would not reccomend.

Third visit to ️Sun Riviera
This was my third visit to ️Sun Riviera as the location is excellent, staff very courteous and the room is both comfortable and clean. Bed was very comfy, fresh linen every day. I intend to stay here again.
