We booked this hotel after seeing an article about it in a magazine... we're so glad we did! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty... the staff couldn't do enough for us! It is everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel but the attention to detail really sets it apart from anywhere else we've stayed. Andries (reception and housekeeping manager) was amazing and really made our stay.... he's a mine of information and so incredibly helpful. The service, rooms, pool and jacuzzi areas are beautifully maintained and an army of staff work round the clock to keep it so.
Mougins itself is a charm.... just up the hill from the hotel. If your legs aren't up to it the hotel are happy to whiz you up in the golf buggy! Mougins (the old village) has a number of lovely restaurants and it also has a fabulous museum which houses an incredible private collection ... well worth a look !
Le Mas Candille has it spot on.... luxurious without being pretentious and it's all in the details! Worth every single one of it's 5 stars. We haven't stopped talking about it since we got home and have recommended it to almost anyone who'll listen. Well done Le Mas!!!
We have been travelling to Cannes a lot this last year, and have tried a few of the major
hotels on Le Croisette!! Without a question this is by far superior, in everyway it excels
the others. The staff are so accommodating, from the lovely guys who look after your
car to front of house to housekeeping. The restaurants also are first class, and would
recommend, particularly 'Le Petit Maison'.
It will always be my first choice to stay at The Majestic Barrieres, I can't think of anywhere
else I would rather stay.
Extremely clean & modern, beautiful garden area, exceptionally friendly staff, great location- from La Croisette/train station/shops/ restaurants, only criticism is the price of breakfast per person (€17 per person per day!)
I have been staying at this Hotel for over 50 years. From a boy going with my parents, to a young bachelor, to a young married man with my own children and as 60 plus husband and wife. The Carlton is an institution, and the standard as ever, faultless! The world changes, indeed the clientele changes, yes Cannes changes, but really the Carlton doesn't change, well done Grand old lady of a Hotel, you are magnificent!
Lovely stay - my first stay in a hotel in Antibes since selling my flat there where I had lived for over 20 years! The staff were so helpful and instead of the studio I was expecting I had a whole apartment for myself! Very impressive.
