We were upgraded to superior room. A very elegant hotel located near beach and old Cannes. The lobby is very inviting. Good security with elevators operated by hotel room key card. The room was excellent with great bathroom facilities. We had a balcony with table and 2 chairs. The parking is public but located under the hotel with elevator access to the hotel; it cost 28 Euros per 24 hours. The hotel is near beach and has its own beach facilities with restaurant, parasols, etc. Many restaurants nearby. There is a small kiddy amusement park on beach near hotel if you have small children.
Live music in the bar each evening and exceptional food served in both the restaurants. We were delighted to be given a free upgrade on arrival and had the most wonderful spacious room with huge comfy sofa & chairs. Nothing too much trouble for the staff running this hotel - will definately stay again. We loved it!
We booked an early Sept getaway in order to miss the school holiday crowds. The hotel was at only 20% occupancy which worked well for us as we received very personalized care and attention. We were upgraded on arrival and the views from the terrace of our suite were really lovely. The hotel site is big and a little hilly (especially with a little one in tow) so the golf carts operated by the hotel team are a welcome bonus in getting around. The fine dining restaurant was outstanding while the more causal options including near the pool were also good. You need a car to get around and see the surrounding areas and my partner is French which also helped in communications both in the hotel and outside (although everyone spoke good English). It was a shame that I didn't bring my golf gear as the course looks in beautiful condition and I didn't see anyone on it. However the Spa was excellent both in terms of the quality of the treatments but also the look, feel, maintenance and cleanliness and the hotel pool was large and with spin off areas for kids and jacuzzi. We discussed whether we would feel the same if there were super busy and that is difficult to guess at but we both agreed that it was a fabulous place to stay and the whole experience was very child-friendly (especially the staff). Our only "issue" was that we didn't realize until we left that we could have requested a different mattress for the bed. A minor issue on what was altogether a really lovely and relaxing stay.
I expected much less for what I paid through expedia. The hotel is VERY clean. Underground EXTREMELY convenient parking. Very trustworthy and trusting staff. I mean the check in was very easy: Bonjour monsieur and that's it, I am in my room!
Rarely have I seen King size beds in France. I actually booked a queen size but go a king. Nice breakfast buffet (although I rarely was up at breakfast time). GREAT location, 30 seconds walk from the Croisette and beach. Great morning walk and swim.
