Central hotel near beach

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: The balcony/view was the highlight opf our stay. The staff were brilliant. the room was spotless.
Cons: Nothin in my opinion
Location: Close to the beach and only minutes from a bustling street full of excellant restuarants and bars.
From the moment we stepped intop the reception,we were greeted by friendly and professional staff. They could not be more welcoming. The room was first class and the balcony and sea view was exceptional.I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you are looking for a first class hotel with excellant staff, look no further.

Short and sweet stay at Juan les pins, FR

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Close to beach front with private beach. Staffs are friendly.
Cons: Pillows are square like pillow sham and are not comfortable. Rm 606 bathroom needs to be updated as it's like back to the 60s.
Location: Excellent for sun bathing and stroll along the beach at night. Shops open till 11pm. Lots of eateries close by.
Take some time to figure out how to get to Juan Les Pins (JLP) from Nice airport. Taxi is quite pricy $70 euros. Finally get on the shuttle bus (10 euros/pp) and walk 10 mins to the hotel from the bus stop. It was quite a walk with heavy luggage in a sunny hot day. Hotel reception is quite friendly and put our two rooms on same floor, one room with a sea view although the decor is a bit out especially the bathroom. Helios own it's private beach which is one little block south of hotel. Guest needs to rent beach mattress / deck chair / towel from the beach reception. The gentleman is quite nice to give us reduced price for the mattress and free towels as we arrive after 4pm (beach close at 6pm). Kids have great time at the clear water and soft sand beach. Also pop by Cannes and Antibes, JLP is a quiet and relaxing town.

Last stop of holiday

Posted 03-Jul-2014
Pros: The location was ideal to travel to Cannes, Nice, Monaco and even the countryside.
Cons: The charges for the hotel carpark should be included in the price of the room.
Location: Cannes, Antibe, Nice, Monte Carlo (Monaco) and St Paul (beautiful little village) which is a must to see.
My husband and I toured France for 3 1/2 weeks and Hotel Helios was our last stop. I booked the hotel 6 months earlier and was looking forward to a lovely hotel (as per the website) with a sea view. On arrival, we were given a room on the 3rd Floor that had not been renovated and was bitterly disappointed. The bed was comfortable however the bathroom was old and the floors were lino and very tired looking. After discussing the situation with the Manager, when she returned from her day off, Petra kindly moved us to a renovated room on the 6th Floor with a sea view. We only had the room for 2 days however it made the holiday complete after having some lovely accommodation throughout France. Thank you Petra for being a good Manager.

Great Location

Posted 07-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
Antibes was the last stop on our 12 day France Vacation. The hotel desk staff was friendly and spoke many languages. The hotel was very close to the beachfront boardwalk with options for fine dining and quaint shops. It was very close to the rail station which we used to travel to Monaco, Cannes and Nice. The room was nice but the TV was very small with only BBC news for English broadcasts. At night the motorcycles zoomed through the streets making lots of noise. The shower and bathroom was modern and upscale.

Great Location!

Posted 04-Jun-2014
Pros: Location - less than 5 mins walk from the train station
Cons: Cheaper breakfast option and coffee/tea sachets to be replaced automatically every morning rather than having to ask for it every morning.
Location: An easy walk to most areas and importantly great way to jump on the train and explore near by areas or take day trips to Monaco, Cannes etc
Very pleasant ambience of hotel and very helpful and friendly staff. Great proximity to the beach and restaurants. Good selection of cafes nearby as breakfast was too expensive at 18Euros p/person. Do highly recommend the hotel!

WONDERFUL HOTEL

Posted 27-May-2014
Pros: Clean, convenient, friendly, just right.
Cons: For me, peppermint tea bags in the room as alternative to coffee and regular tea.
Location: It is well sited, close to station for train to Antibes or Cannes, easy to walk to shops and beaches, and plenty of good restaurants.
Perfect for my needs, situated close to Juan Les Pins train station, and the shops, and the coastline, and a great patisserie on the corner. Staff were all excellent, from front-of-house to the cleaning staff. I stay here every time I come down to the coast. I'm reluctant to tell too many people about it in case it gets fully booked.

One block from the beach, one block from the train

Posted 20-May-2014 on Hotels.com
This place feels like home. The reception people were incredibly helpful, and spoke English well. They did our laundry too. It was in a very casual, safe neighborhood, close to many great restaurants as well as being a block from the sea. And by train we were a half hour from both Nice and Cannes. We would consider coming back for a longer stay.

Great location - Mostly pleasant stay

Posted 18-May-2014
Pros: The bathrooms were very clean and functional. Not always the case in European hotels.
Cons: The egg boiling machine. The internet was unreliable.
Location: The hotel is only a couple of blocks from the beach. Shopping and restaurants are extremely nearby.
The rooms are quite clean and attractive. The women that worked the front desk were very pleasant, the gentlemen, not so much. There was a young gentlemen who was very nice who also worked as the bartender who was very nice. The breakfast service was inconsistent. If you arrived fairly early, there was plenty of food. Later there would not be so much food. The machine to boil eggs did not work very efficiently.

Good hotel, great location

Posted 27-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed for a night in April. Our room was of a decent size, good quality toiletries, staff was helpful and they kindly granted our request for a room facing the courtyard. Hotel in good condition, very close to the beach and restaurants but our room was a bit dusty. Otherwise comfortable stay.

Hidden gem 5 minutes from the beach

Posted 23-Apr-2014
Helios hotel is perfect for easy access to a private beach, centre of town and the local train station. Staff were very helpful and room was modern and clean with a balcony with views of the Med. Only downside is there is no restaurant at the hotel. But overall I would highly recommend Helios hotel to all.
