"Arty, friendly right in the heart of plenty of fun"
I stay in a lot of hotels and they're often pretty boring. This place has plenty of character and is really well decorated. Great value too. The staff were friendly and the place is right back from the beach an in the heart of the plenty of bars and clubs. I'll stay there when I go back to Cannes.

Being Europe we can assume the room is small. However for a single room I got a full bed! not that common. The hotel is run by these very friendly British people. Room was very clean, the only issue what that it had no elevator and I was in the 2nd floor. Not too bad.

I have been staying at this Hotel for over 50 years. From a boy going with my parents, to a young bachelor, to a young married man with my own children and as 60 plus husband and wife. The Carlton is an institution, and the standard as ever, faultless! The world changes, indeed the clientele changes, yes Cannes changes, but really the Carlton doesn't change, well done Grand old lady of a Hotel, you are magnificent!
Lovely ppl running it from owner who's very engaging and polite, best croissant and cafe au lait, comfy beds, good shower pressure and noise free hotel. Just one thing the flooring was a bit damaged by waters or popped for some reason, had a ground floor room which was convenient and spacious. Will be back!

We were upgraded to superior room. A very elegant hotel located near beach and old Cannes. The lobby is very inviting. Good security with elevators operated by hotel room key card. The room was excellent with great bathroom facilities. We had a balcony with table and 2 chairs. The parking is public but located under the hotel with elevator access to the hotel; it cost 28 Euros per 24 hours. The hotel is near beach and has its own beach facilities with restaurant, parasols, etc. Many restaurants nearby. There is a small kiddy amusement park on beach near hotel if you have small children.
The hotel was small, quiet, and the rooms were newly appointed with all the amenities. Located right on the main shopping street, it was near restaurants,, the beach and all the action. Parking was in a covered garage just a short 2 block walk away. Staff were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend..
