Just went for a mom and daughters weekend and had a really nice time. We didn't get a chance to try Habitat but the menu looked fantastic, but not geared toward 6 and 7 year olds. The rooms were very relaxing and the beds were very comforable, not too soft, and I need to find out if I can purchase thier pillows!
Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly faces and helpful staff, overheard the receptionist helping a couple in front of myself. The room was very clean, and very comfortable, with a good view. It was quiet at night and never heard a peep from the rest of the hotel.
Amazing views of the Rocky Mountains while being lavished in luxury. Clean rooms and professionaly decorated interiors with all the necessary amenities of a full dwelling unit. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for some peace and tranquility while staying in Canmore.

We booked a room on the ground floor next to a door such that we could get out with the dog easily for bathroom breaks. Our dog loved the area as it was heavy with the scent of animals. The dining was fairly good, portions large, and management went to the bother of hiring staff w/ English accents therein which helped keep the atmosphere consistent to the theme. Proximity to Canmore shopping was good; a mere 10 minute walk. Trains pass through town regularly but one soon tunes it out. Canmore is less touristy than Banff, offers the same beautiful mountain views, good hiking and would be favoured for those wishing to avoid the tourist crowd. Temperature regulation in the room was a little below average and there was no table large enough for laptop use as the theme of the room was the objective; fair enough. The stand-out feature of our experience was the was the friendly staff. We have NEVER been better cared for. Bravo to the management. Look in the back of the restaurant menu for which movies have been filmed in the hotel including "Dr Strangelove" and "The Edge".
