Wonderful stay as always

Posted 29-Aug-2014
This is our third time to omni cancun. The staff is wonderful, the beach pristine, the room view spectacular, and the food top notch. It truly is "all inclusive". There is plenty to do at the resort and the entertainment staff delivers!

Comfortable and Quiet

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Cons: Rooms are beginning to show their age a bit. Needs a refresh.
Location: Dady'O nightclub, Coco Bongo, Isla Mujeres.
The facility, staff, food and drinks are very good! However, the entertainment is just alright and there is NO Night Life at this hotel. So, if you're looking for a more crazy stay at your hotel, this is on the hotel for you! That said, there is someone you can meet in the lobby every night at 10PM that facilitates a shuttle to downtown clubs. You pay a set price and admission/open bar is included. Very much worth it because you don't wait in line with the locals. Excursions offered at the hotel are great! I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND Isla Mujeres trip combined with snorkeling. Was lots of fun! Lastly, we chose this hotel because it was LGBT friendly. My partner and I found this to be a very accommodating and friendly facility.

Pros: great place for children, nice beach and pools.
Cons: more shade around the pools.
Location: dolphins a must. water park.
the 'all inclusive' deal was a nice surprise, including drinks as well as alcoholic ones. the variety of food was good too. the pools and beach excellent. staff very friendly and accommodating. would go back.

Room was not what i have reserved

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Hotel staff was excellent, however they gave me a two bed room instead of a king room. We couldn't fit good in a single bed so my wife and i slept in separated beds all the time. Not recommended if you are going in a honey moon plan.

Disappointing

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: The staff tried really hard, especially the staff in the Buffet Dining room which was terribly under staffed.
Cons: THE FOOD, NO MORE TIRED BUFFET FOOD !!!
Location: Middle of the Hotel Zone, Jungle ride across the Street, otherwise take a taxi or bus.
Don't be taken about their claims of all inclusive and list of Restaurants, one of which was closed! The other was so small it was impossible to make a reservation, Da Vinci you are limited to once or twice only depending on your stay, the Steak House is $29.00 per person per meal, what happened to the all inclusive we paid for?? So you are relegated to their Buffet Dining in La Paloma for dinner which serves repetitive sub standard food, I have had better in Furr's Cafeteria. Such a shame this was my 5th stay at this Hotel, and it will be my last, their standard of food has deteriorated.

This is a great hotel and staff!!!

We had a great honeymoon stay at Omni Hotel. Hotel amenities were great, rooms are clean, and most important the staff was sooo friendly and helpful! We were amased how everyone was so nice, you can see and feel that these ppl are happy to help you. They are all workig very hard and very quick:) Everytime we had anything in the room to be fixed reception responded immediately and solved. Food at Da Vinchi a la carte was great, we went there 2 times. Same with staff. Food at diva indonesian food restaurant was not so good, but maybe it is because we are not used to that kind of taste. And Kuku's bar was the best!!! we really like the service of barmen Francisco, he was so friendly and funny, we appreciate all his effort to make our stay by the beach great and fun! I higly recommend this hotel and also expedia. Expedia was updating by email every single detail of our trip.

Great hotel with amenities and a fair price

Posted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: The hotel grounds are beautiful, the beaches are white and expansive, the numerous pools and chairs were awesome.
Cons: We called twice for maintenance issues and the hotel could use a paint job. The electrical outlet for the standing lamp shocked me.
Location: The hotel offers parasailing, jet skiing, awesome photographer w/great prices, excursion sales office, gift shops, full service spa. No need to leave!
We were very happy with our short 4 night stay. We arrived on a Thursday and had an early evening from traveling and were unhappy to find the hotel was very noisy due to activities at the pool. I suggest upgrading to the premier ocean view room because it has a private small hallway shielding the room from noise inside the hotel plus the rooms are on the far ends of the hallways furthest from the elevators. The floors are marble which are nice but make for a very noisy hotel.
