Pros: the food was okay.
The room requires an upgrade of plumbing and new appliances. the room had an musty old odor smell and the toilet leaked and the shower did not work.

too many sorries

It took 2 hours to check in to my room. After giving me three already occupied rooms, some with naked people in them, I was provided a standard double bed room without any "deluxe" accommodations that I supposedly booked. The management made no attempt to correct problems stating that since I booked through Expedia, there was nothing that they could do.

Great time!

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: good food and decent drinks
Cons: drinks and the beer is very weak, hardly any alcohol in either. They should not lie to guest about the time they take to discuss the vacation club!
We had a great time and enjoyed the pools, food, and drinks. They only down fall to this place is the vacation club they try selling you when first check in. Do not fall for this, it is not just 1 hour over breakfast, this took up 4 hours of our day. Not worth the "free" tiki bed!!

Overrated...need improvements

Posted 16-Jul-2015
This is a very basic hotel and certainly not worth 4.3 out of 5 ratings and the money paid. Outdated decor, small rooms, small bathrooms, double full-size beds, very old bath towels and bed covers. Same restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 4 days (except one dinner we were able to get a reservation in a non-air-conditioned restaurant). I give it a 3 out of 5. I have been in Cancun 3 times before and visited some other hotels. I will not return to this hotel again.

Cancun Family Trip

Posted 16-Jul-2015
Pros: Staff, Size of the hotel (not a huge hotel), quality of the food and the restaurants.
Cons: More comfortable pillows and beds.
Location: We visited Mata Divers which is very near the hotel. We also did parasailing and enjoy running both at the beach and the street. My son used the gym
We have visited Cancun several times but never with our kids. We decided to book the Omni since we like the chain and they provided an all inclusive option. Upon arrival the checking process was simple and fast. The hotel staff was very friendly and willing to help us. They offer some what I believe is time share conference but we were only approach to participate in this type of meeting only once with the option of getting some tickets to different attractions However, personally I do not like to participate in this type of conference and overall do not like time shares. The good news is that the staff did not keep pushing us to participate in this conference so we close this very fast a move to enjoy the hotel after completing our first breakfast (our flight got to Cancun very early). The hotel is in good condition and the room was in a great location with easy access to the pool area and restaurants. The room was comfortable and very clean. However, the beds could be a little more comfortable as well as the pillows. The staff kept the room organized and clean all the time. The hotel breakfast area was very good and it provides plenty of food options to select. There two restaurants that require reservations which I recommend. One Italian and one Asian. Both were very good and you should try them during your visit. In the pool area they have sushi which I try many times as well as a Mexican and an international restaurant. The staff make a big difference.

Fun Vacation!

Posted 15-Jul-2015
Pros: Excellent customer service!
Location: The location is great! The Mayan museum is walking distance from Omni.
Our 7 day stay at Omni was wonderful! The staff was so friendly and courteous. The all inclusive plan is worth it!
