Our family stayed at the Wyndham Grand Cancun hotel and I must say, I was quite disappointed with the experience. The service was incredibly slow, mainly due to poor management and a significant shortage of staff. It was evident that the employees were overworked and stretched thin, which made for a frustrating stay. Staff personally confessed that there was not enough staff on the property.
Adding to the frustration, there was a shortage of beds and beach towels available. It was disheartening to see guests having to compete for limited lounging spots and struggling to find clean towels. Again, staff expressed that there isn't enough towels to accommodate all the guests which is just another management failure.
Despite the challenges, I must acknowledge that the staff members who were present were kind, hard working and accommodating. However, their efforts were overshadowed by the evident lack of sufficient staff throughout the property.
Overall, while the hotel itself is lovely, the issues with staffing and management significantly impacted our experience. It's disappointing because with better organization and adequate staffing, this could be an excellent place to stay. We visit Mexico 2-3 times a year and this is probably the first negative review I had to leave. Won't be coming back.
