No elevator. At 66 years old I decided to leave my bag downstairs since I was leaving early to the airport. Pool was half empty as was the spa so I'm not sure what they had in mind. The room was spacious, clean, with kitchen and a great shower. TV was actually watchable. Location is ok. 5 blocks from the ado bus station. There are a few restaurants near by.
I was seriously surprised on the high quality of food they had. We ate at two restaurants that required a reservation and were extremely happy with our experiences. We will go again in the near future!
We had a wonderful time the hotel is older but clean also you have to remember the plumbing is older and not to flush toilet paper or it will clog but hotel Kokai is near the ADO bus station the R1 buses and local stores and eateries I liked it because I can go to the hotel zone party and come back to my quiet peaceful hotel also prices are cheaper because of the downtown area. We went to Playa de Carmen , Captain hook tour , Isla Mujeres , Cozumel and Market 28. Everything is easy to get to, but bring your walking shoes, we also went to the club they had in the hotel and listened to some Bohemian music.Good Value for the price. Also Market 28 is good for deals, breakfast and shrimp cocktales. Again good value for your money, prices at the hotel zone are too expensive(drinks tee shirts etc)I suggest going to Google map and print out maps of the area this is what I did and by the second day you know how to get around in town if you get lost don't worry ask anyone they will help you.Or worst case flag down a taxi drive and he can take you back for about 4 dollars Also I am from San Jose,ca we have to take two planes the flight was delayed had to wait an extra hour just be prepared for theses set backs, Do first class the leg room is better I am older 53 and on a 4 hr flight,is not good
Third time here. We've stayed at other hotels, but always come back to this one because it's simply the best. Gorgeous rooms and pools and no reason to stay elsewhere. It's location is pretty centrally located in the hotel zone and shopping for food and clothing is very close.
We love the food and the beach .employee working hard to please you specially the chef William and his assistant Andre they are awesome they can please your taste if you request.also Juan the manager at st troop beach restaurant he very nice to help you if you want something special.
Over all this place is get 4.9 star beach resort.
Room very nice,clean very well,we all please with all employe.

This hotel is great for the entertainment it provides through out the day and night.

We have been to many places in the Caribbean and this was among the very best. It was clean, the beach was beautiful, the food was plentiful and excellent quality, and the entertainment was very good. The acrobatic show was excellent. Also, it was clear that there was an emphasis on customer service in their staff training. All the people we dealt with were very professional, courteous and many went out of their way to help us. Just by way of example, Natario in the breakfast buffet, saw that my wife had a bowl of oatmeal and without anyone saying anything he darted across the room to bring here the proper spoon. There were many examples like this. The service was excellent. Natario, Marko, Enrique, Marino, Carlos (who were all food servers) and Margarita (who did a great job cleaning our room and was a very pleasant person to speak with) provided especially good customer service. And there were many others. The buffets were really very good with a wide variety and the Da Vinci restaurant was excellent.We had a great time. It was relaxing and we were treated very well. I would definitely come here again.
