Decent hotel, big rooms, but slow internet.

Posted 04-Jul-2015
We stayed here on a business trip. It was a nice apartment, spacious and comfortable, but our internet wasn't working, and it still hadnt been fixed by the next day. They offered to switch to a room in which had working Internet, which was nice. Overall, it's a nice place to stay at but the continental breakfast was a bit empty, limited choices and the juice dispensers were almost empty both mornings. The hot breakfast was very nice though, so I would recommend that.

Large rooms, good bed.

Posted 06-Jun-2015
Pros: Staff and cleanliness.
Cons: My only disappointment was no one in reception on departure. However I left a note asking for a receipt to be emailed and had it 10 mins after leaving
Location: Dickson supermarket and restaurant area are close by. Restaurants are predominantly catering to a budget market.
The Parklands is quiet hotel used by a lot of business travellers staying for a few days. It is a little older but clean and functional, with a microwave and cutlery in my room. It is about 10 mins walk to shops. Secure undercover parking is also provided. Reasonable choice for a slightly longer stay, but not a romantic venue.

Comfortable stay at parklands Canberra

Posted 01-May-2015 on Hotels
Stayed for 2 nights over the Anzac period, the apartment was clean, the sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean and the room was made up whilst we were at the ceremony. The area was quiet and the appartments were close to everything that Canberra had to offer. Stay again no problem.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on - I was woken up by loud people walking along the verandah - noise travelled very easily and was amplified. The picture on the website did not reflect the room whatsoever. Very disappointed in this accommodation!

Interesting Stay

Posted 22-Apr-2015 on Wotif
Pros: Location near Dickson Shops.
Cons: Overall appearance of apartment.
Location: Close to community amenities & tourist attractions of Canberra.
Could have done with a coat of paint; some of the furnishings old & tired; microwave did not work.

Convenient location and great amenities

Posted 18-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, rooms, pool.
Cons: A second bathroom would've been nice for the 3BR apartment. Also the pool had run out of towels one day, but it was a minor issue.
Location: Parks, bike path, very close to Dickson shopping centre and fantastic choice of restaurants. Excellent location!
We travelled to Canberra with our two kids + my parents and the three bedroom apartment was perfect for us. Great location, easy walk to shops and restaurants and good access to the main part of town for the Canberra Marathon which was the reason for our visit.
