“would stay there again”

A heritage hotel with up-to-date comfort. Quiet location, but close to Lake Burley Griffin and scenic walks. Staff very friendly ,professional and informative. All amenities available.

Area recommendations

Visit the galleries, National Library, Parilament house. Boat tour on the lake.

“Not worth the price or the location”

Modern, well positioned hotel. However, service in the restaurant was slow and average at best and the rooms, for what you are paying were FAR too small, and we had a Deluxe room!! Could not recommend.

“A delightfully distinctive hotel”

This is a cool designer hotel with masses of black wood and glass with contrasting walls and interesting modern art pieces. The style is slightly minimalist but unlike so many "boutique" establishments, the staff were welcoming, friendly and really helpful. The bedroom was large and extremely comfortable - and, vitally, quiet so great nights' sleep was had. Great shower too. Continental breakfast (served in the bar whilst they recover from the fire which spead onto the property and damaged the restaurant) was better value than most business hotels and nicely presented. Free wifi in lobby was a bonus. The location is just a few minutes walk from most of central Canberra but a bit of a trek to Parliament itself (but, then, isn't that true of anwhere in Canberra!). Frankly a reasonably priced and much better bet to the big formula chain hotels you'ld otherwise go to. Long may it continue in its slightly quirky style!

“Great location, but need signage for entrance”

Staff were wonderfull, very nice and helpfull, but entrance was badly marked and thus difficult to find and car park a considerable distance away. Location is wonderful, hoyel is nice

“will go there again”

we cannot say enough about about canberra the hotel was excellent the food there was first class the service was good and we found our hotel resturants in the diamant hotel very good , we will look forward to revisiting canberra again ,and staying at the diamant , the staff were very helpful .

where we were staying was very central to everything and as we said the diamant hotel came up to our expectations, we walked everywhere and saw all the important places ,

“Pretty good”

Tidy and comfortable but a little bit formulaic and sterile. Close to restaurants and staff were very helpful and courteous. Would definitely recommend to others travelling to Canberra.

EXCELLENT LOCATION, FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL CHECK-IN STAFF. TASTEFULLY DECORATED HOTEL WITH UNIQUE THEMES ON THE CAPITAL CITY AREA. CANT WAIT TO RETURN HERE AGAIN!!!!
