Convenient location in Canberra

Posted 13-Dec-2014
Pros: We enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms. It was great to have a washing machine and dryer and the kitchen was huge.
Cons: Perhaps there could be more kitchen equipment provided. There were no platters or bowls for serving food. Crockery was very basic.
Location: This complex is situated on a very busy thoroughfare but it was only 10 minutes on foot to the civic centre in Canberra and the bus station.
Was pleased to discover we had scored an upgrade to a bigger room as we were staying 6 nights. Was not so pleased to discover at 6.00am the next morning that the building site next door began work. The work lift for 6 storeys worked non stop all day with great noise. However, when we protested at 9.00am, the reception staff gave us another room and it was very quiet. After that our stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed all the facilities in a huge apartment.

Great location

Posted 01-Dec-2014
Pros: Dishwasher, washing machine, drier, big fridge, lots of space
Cons: Provide wifi.
Easy walking distance of the city, sp if you like self-catering and some space these are great. Biggest flaw - no free wifi! It is SOOO antiquated to charge rediculous amounts for limited access. Housekeeping were rather intrusive - kept ignoring the do not disturb sign and walking in. Lack of cleaning products a drag (to scrub frypan) but they did provide when asked.

We'll be returning !

Posted 25-Nov-2014
Pros: Fabulous front office staff ! Also appreciated the cheery smile from cleaners and housekeeping staff as we moved around the hotel.
Cons: Breakfast staff were not particularly welcoming or friendly. Dismissive when we asked about wifi connection. Said "I have no idea!" Not a good look !
Had a great time. We took some UK visitors there and they thought it was exceptional which is good for our tourist image. We regularly visit Canberra but had not stayed there before. We will certainly make it a regular sleepover".

Mum and Daughters

Posted 23-Oct-2014
Pros: Location is convenient to restaurants and shops
Cons: Allocation of rooms at reception could have been more appropriate in the first instance.
Location: Location is convenient to restaurants and shops
Initially we were placed in a disabled room located directly in front of the lifts with a rollaway bed up against a wall. I had a broken wrist and when I queried when the bed would be placed into position for the night I was told it was up to me. NOT what I was expecting. Additionally one shower and the entire bathroom floor area was wet. Again NOT what I was expecting. Once I discussed this with reception staff, we were immediately moved to a much more satisfactory room and our stay from that point was great.

Apartment hotel in the centre of Canberra.

Posted 19-Oct-2014
Pros: Travelling as a large family, there was ample space and comfort at the Clifton suites. We had a 2 bed apartment and requested 2 rollaway beds.
Cons: There is a lot of construction next door and it starts at six in the morning even on Saturday. Affected our sleep as we had a 3 hr time difference.
Location: Fantastic location to access the War Memorial, Parliament House, restaurants and the Canberra Centre.
Travelled to Canberra for first time and was impressed by our accommodation and service. Location was excellent for accessing local tourist attractions. Stayed for 4 nights and would definitely stay at Clifton suites again.
