It took 4 days to get my cleaning back and the desk was mostly helpful but one desk party was antagonistic with me about my concerns. Room cleaning and the restaurant staff were very nice. I woul not stay again - picked the brand as it is normally a good brand and location. This time location was poor with homeless on the streets.

The hotel is not that good, not much service to talk about. Breakfast are ok, small old shower with water leakeg true the bathroom. Very bad food and service at the restaurant.

Mild, fair cost, infrastructure need review
Hotel is okay! - long queue for check-in (maybe given Holliday season approaching). Room cleaning good, but we tried to use the stairs (14th floor to swimming pool) and there were many cigarette buts and it was not clean at all - bad guests I think. Infrastructure need review ! Staff is supportive! Breakfast is good!

Not a choice for work
The room has good space, nice bed and shower. Quality of image on the old TV is terrible. Location of TV far from the table does not permit the use for work.

Hotel is okay, building is new and appartments very clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly. Restaurant offer very nice food !

My opinion is that this hotel is the best for your dollar when it comes to safety, cleanliness and comfort. Starting with the hotel staff welcoming you with a smile and speaking fluent English. They are there to serve you with any questions. Going to the room, per my request they fill it for me. SO when it comes to non-work time, I can easily take a long walk around the area during the day with no concerns of paranoid safety precautions. Just like any place in the world, use common sense. Back to the hotel, I have stayed at many hotels within the Campinas area and this one is by far the best to stay. Understand this is just a short term stay and not a place you will be living. Thumbs up!

I have stayed at many hotel in this area and by far this is the best hotel for location, eateries in the area and safe during the day for long walks. Hotel is easy to get to if you have someone coming to pick you up for work or just an outing. Hotel staff staff good English and are there to answer any questions that you might have. Gym? Good enough to maintain your cardio. Breakfast is good at this location too.

Highly Recommended!
Good hotel for a work stay. The lobby staff are excellent and speak English. In addition, this hotel is easy to reach from local people going to pick you up and take you places. This place is in the central point of the city and you can take a safe long walk around the area during the day. Also, the bus station to the airports is just right across the street. Even though there might be labeled better hotels in the area, I always prefer and recommend this hotel over the so called higher end hotels in the area. Last of all, internet works with all you electronics at the same time.

Pros: nice staff, spacious room, free wifi Cons: safe didn't work in out room breakfast is extremely expensive for the quality of food - R$30 per person, 220v voltage all over the hotel which almost made me burn my hairdryer! The bathroom although cleaned, smelled like mold TV without HD channels, only analog the hotel charges for local calls made from the room phone and finally it's not safe to walk around the hotel at night!

it was a clean hotel but the AC took quite some time to cool down the room, after a few hours the walls were still warm but it was the hottest time of the year as well, if I have to go to the city I will most likely stay there again

This hotel is easy to get to from you to get picked up by local people to pick you up. Not far of a nice walk to find a good breakfast or lunch location. As for the evening, you will need to get a taxi even if you stayed at any other hotel. So this hotel is a great selection for you. Great lobby staff and will help you with speaking with someone if you cannot speak the local language.

Bath towels were old, small and thin. Water pressure in the shower was lower than usual for Mercure hotels. Breakfast fee was BRL 27 instead of the BRL 17 informed by Expedia - but the hotel honored the Expedia price following my complaining. Overall, hotel is overpriced when compared to other higher-end alternatives in the city, even if you have to spend a little more.

Nice hotel, issues with neighbourhood
I only stayed in the hotel for 1 night so I did not really use most of its services. The hotel itself was very good I thought, specially considering price. It looked new, clean and professional. The only issue is that I have family in Campinas and I was told the neighbourhood is not the safest to walk around at night, and there did not seem to be many services nearby.

wonderful reception staff and perfectly adequate hotel. Pool on the roof was a welcome find as was the sauna and steam rooms. The only problem with the place is it's location which although 50m from the shuttle bus to the airports it is also not far from from fairly run down areas. I would stay there again though.

Good hotel to visit for business
People usaully request that I stay at the Trype Hotel but I prefer this one. Because of the day time walks around this area and the shuttle service that take you to either airport (SP and local) is right across the street. Hotel service is good and they do speak english to help you out with questions or concerns.

By my standards not even close to 3.5 star rating
Location was convenient but not exactly picturesque. Staff were courteous but not tremendously helpful. The hand rail in the shower came off in my hand, when I spoke with staff about it they didn´t seem to be bothered much. Room was comfortable but honestly I have stayed at 2 star hotels that were at least as comfortable. For the price I paid I would expect breakfast included, a 3.5 star rated hotel without a basice brealfast menu included? Not a very welcoming attitude in my opinion! I might consider staying there again for half the price!

Stayed at the Mercure while visiting friends in Campinas. Sampled several services including room service, lunch in the restaurant and use of the rooftop pool and sun lounging area. Enjoyed everything! Service at reception was also excellent; all staff very friendly and helpful given my terrible Portuguese.

Nice enough but in a dodgy area
A comfortable hotel in the middle of the pack relative to others in the Mercure hotel chain. Not many eating options within walking distance and only a couple of blocks until you begin seeing vagrants in significant numbers. A few staff speak some English and usually someone at reception can speak English proficiently. Standard rooms are reasonably spacious and quite comfortable with several English speaking cable channels on the TV. A nice pool and Gym on the top floor. This was my second stay at the Hotel.

Mercure Campinas - good enough to sleep at only
This hotel is located in Campinas but the surrounding area is very run down and I would only stay there if you were just using it to sleep at and would not be venturing out on foot. Service at check in is slow as is the service at the restaraunt. My husband sprained his knee and they would not give ice!! Said they did not have any.

This hotel is located across the street from the shuttle servicer to and from the airports. Nice to walk around during the day. Hotel working will be able to communicate with you in english which is a biggie.

This is the best hotel in Compinas! Across the the street from where the shuttle service to and from the airport(s) is located. This is brazil and you have to be aware of your surrounding but during the day just blend in with the population and you can enjoy the day. At night though in any Brazil hotel, stay inside.
