“Premier Inn is better.”

My stay Thursday at Premier Inn, Friday/Sat this hotel. Premier inn > Holiday Inn Express 1) Smaller room than Premier Inn 2) No hooks in room. 6 Hangers. For two people. - Premier Inn better. 3) Woken by people banging on doors/shouting at 06.30. Pay more to avoid the morons this hotel attracts. 4) Disturbed by male cleaner who did not knock. 5) Stain blood/coffee/other on base of toilet door. 6) Free breakfast poorly managed. Poor quality. Little fruit selection And then to share it with morons.....no?! 7) Premier inn serves Soya milk and Veggie sausages. Go there and pay for breakfast instead. 8) No bath! Premier Inn has baths in the rooms. 9) No socket near mirrors. No female guests? 10) Ironing room. Check out the state of the base of the left hand iron.

“Not as good as other Holiday Inns we have stayed at.”

We love staying at Holiday Inn- especially express. We find them clean comfortable and good service. This is the first one that we actually had some minor issues with. We were told that we could order an evening meal from the restaurant area bar from 6pm-we ordered at 3 minutes past 6 and were the first people to order-there was only one other couple there and they appeared to have not yet ordered. I ordered soup and my husband ordered fish and chips. I received the meal within 10 minutes of ordering and my husband received his meal at 5 minutes to 7pm-almost an hour later! We enquired about the meal twice. The only other issue was that the toilet leaked all night and had a strong odour. These things can happen and I am sure it would have been rectifyed immediately once we reported it the next morning as we always find Holiday Inn well maintained-however I do feel the situation with the meals was unacceptable.

For this type of hotel, I rate this one as the best I have stayed in anywhere in the world. The Management was excellent, the breakfast buffet 1st class and a very quiet location. Difficult to fault it in any way.

Efficient welcome to the hotel which was as expected from others' reviews on Expedia. Look out of the back windows or creep around to the rear of the hotel to see scores of rabbits! Taxis to the city were around £8 and fast to come after the reception staff had ordered one.

The hotel itself was great. The beds were comfortable. It is outside of town in somewhat of a retail area, but quiet and not scarey. The center of Cambridge was a 10 pound cab ride away. Friends stayed at the Doubletree in the center of town, but this hotel was much nicer & friendlier. Full breakfast buffet. The front desk went out of their way to help me. All in all, a great value, even after you add in the cab fares.

We only stayed one night but found the hotel perfect. It was nice and clean and a very good sized room and comfortable bed. Bathroom and shower immaculate and well designed. the location was very peaceful but also only a short drive to the centre of Cambridge. Most enjoyable experience.
