Staff thorough in explaining all that we needed to know. Ground floor room with all facilities needed by us, although tea and coffee were not permitted in the room. All food and drink was to be consumed in dining room.

Looking through the other reviews I was beginning to think that we stayed at a different hotel - with the very contrasting reviews! I can only say that our short stay was absolutely excellent - fabulous room and bathroom - spotlessly clean - and staff very attentive and helpful. We left after a hearty and well cooked and presented breakfast and we would give the hotel 11 out of 10 !!! We would certainly stay there again.

Located in a very quiet area near Cambridge centre with easy access to Park&Ride and M11. We only stayed one night on this occasion, so we did not have dinner in the hotel prefering a visit to the town centre and it's choice of restaurants. Our only criticism is that the shower is small and the fixed very large shower head was difficult to manage. A detachable shower head would be more suited to the small space. The continental breakfast was excellent, warm croissants and pleasant staff.

Booked the room with four poster bed for an overnight stay as we were attending a gig at the nearby Junction. You can walk into town in 20 - 30 minutes from this guest house but it is also on bus routes.
Our room was perfectly comfortable, clean and tidy with tea & coffee and toiletries. Perhaps if you are picky you could say some things could do with refreshing. If you are staying in this room and you are a light sleeper, consider taking some earplugs because it faces a busy main road. I am a light sleeper and earplugs meant I slept pretty well.
Breakfast was a lovely cooked breakfast (veggie in our case) with plenty of toast, tea & coffee. The breakfast room had an elegant charm about it, I felt very comfortable in there with gentle music playing.
I would certainly consider staying here again with my husband as the price for the room with breakfast was reasonable for Cambridge especially so close to town and The Junction.
Advice on parking: contact the guest house in advance to ask about it. We didn't so I am not sure what the deal is. We ended up parking in a nearby (very nearby) road. Car was fine there overnight but we got there early...can't say for sure we would have been so lucky in finding a space so close if we had turned up much later.
I don't know if the lady who looked after us in the morning is the owner but she was lovely. Thanks for a comfortable stay.

Ideal stop for a visit to Cambridge with the rail station next door. Room was large and comfortable with a powerful shower. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was superb as was the ale. Handy also for the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, a great day out. Would definitely stay again when in that area.
