“Nice weekend break”
We were there as a girly long weekend. Hotel was fab, great food and service. My only gripe and if I'd been staying longer I would have asked to be moved was that we were on level 1 on the street side and every morning the bins were emptied for about 15 mins at 7.30am and the lorry was v noisy waking you up!!
“Clean rooms, friendly staff and warm atmosphere”
The interior part of the hotel was rennovated recently. Rooms were clean, hotel staff speaks fluent english and they were very friendly. The hotel also has a lovely small beach (most of the hotels in mallorca don't have) and a beautiful pool with a marvellous sea view. Location is very close to the center of the island, palma. Access to the nights clubs in magaluf is also easy (only 5-10 min driving). Hotel has a car park but a free municipal parking area is also very close (2 min walking). if you would like to have a proper island tour you should definetely rent a car!
“Fabulous weekend break”
Lovely hotel in great location - quiet but close to Palma. Definately a hotel for relaxing, not partying. Pool area is lovely and although it can get busy we had no problem getting sun beds. Buffet breakfasts were great and the chilled cava was a nice start to the day. Bedrooms were a little on the small side but recently decorated in very contemporaty styles and more than adequate space for all the little time we spent in there. Quick and easy access on the bus to Palma for great shopping, sightseeing etc. Overall a great spot and with a transfer time to the airport of less than 30 mins its great for a short break in the sun.
“very clean, newly refurbished, quite location, small private beach”
Good Hotel, good value, adult only, really quite! no kids. Rooms: rooms and facilities are very good, modem, and very clean. However, the Superior Room have two type of sizes, if you did not request for a balcony, you may end up in a very tiny room. most of Superior rooms has a nice balcony, with a side see view. however, there are a few of the room are very small and with no balcony. they still call it superior, which indeed a lower quality room. they should create a new room type for the smaller room and charge for cheaper. if you choose Superior room and did not asked for balcony, you have a 30-40% change of getting the small room. we were in one of the small rooms, and managed to change to a normal good size room the next day. Superior See View room should be facing the see and have really great view, and the room looks very large from the floor planning chart. Swimming: it has a private little beach with very clean sea water. also a good size swimming pool (15*20m) my guess. also very clean. you can choose to swim in the pool or in the sea. Internet: Free wireless Parking: there is a free public parking with easy stair access to the hotel (1-2 Min walk), ask the stuff for the exact location. if you park in the hotel parking area, you need to pay 13 EURO. Location: I believe you will need a car to get to the hotel. we rent a car from GoldCar, booked online, and paid at the desk in airport. very good price.
“not impressed”
rooms had been refurbished! Yet not one drawer in bedroom. sink actually in bedroom, and too shallow so water spalshed everywhere and shower had an opaque screen which shone light into bedroom if in use. there were two blue flashing lights above bed which were not obvious until lights switched off, which we had to ask to be covered. no full length mirror. no hooks or places to hang anything, i.e. swimming costurmes. looks as if room has been planned purely for publicity photos with no thought for the comfort of guests. Food became progressively worse, with less variety,
“Great beach and pool”
The overall experience in Mallorca is about enjoying the water, beach, pool and surrounding area. The Albatros was a great fit for those requirements. The hotel was very well maintained and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are quite small and the rooms overlooking the parking lot can be a bit noisy, especially when the garbage truck came every morning around 7AM. The pool is great and it was wonderful having a private beach. The location is great if you are looking for a peaceful setting. If you want to go into Palma the bus stop is right out front. I would recommend the hotel for people who want to be close to town but not deal with al the crowds however I would want a room closer to the water away from the street and garbage cans
“Splendid stay”
Absolutely delighted with this place. Very recently refurbished , everything smelled of brand new. Good size of rooms, quiet and very , very comfortable. I booked the hotel for myself and my parents (over 65) with the intention of doing nothing but resting, ...and we did indeed. The hotel caters for everything: swimming pools, beach (a small ''cala'' enough to sunbathe and relax in the sea, two terraces and a balcony. The staff , although some of them unexperienced, all in all very very friendly and helpful. The hotel location could not be better. Literally 3 minutes from the bus stop to catch number 3 bus and go to palma for the day. The airport is 15 minutes away by taxi. We booked half board. The breakfast and dinner buffets were extraordinary, the variety and the abundance were unheard of. In other places (from experience) usually if you join dinner or breakfast just a few minutes before their closing time, either they do not allow you to sit down or the food is cold and its just only what is left. One night we got late back from Palma and we not only were allowed to have dinner , but the buffett was as fresh and varied as at the beginning. The only negative thing I can think of is that we had booked half board included with the accommodation, at dinner time the drinks would be chargeable, even if you only wanted water.....odd!!
“Nice hotel, service slighly too " laid back " although friendly”
Beautiful hotel, staff helprful but lots of problems needed sorte out, mistakes made, Organisation was not great. However, nce location, good breakfast, Very modern micely furnished room. Very good lighting- for reading as well which normally tends to be a problem in hotels.
Ansonsten ganz ok.
