“Splendid stay”

Absolutely delighted with this place. Very recently refurbished , everything smelled of brand new. Good size of rooms, quiet and very , very comfortable. I booked the hotel for myself and my parents (over 65) with the intention of doing nothing but resting, ...and we did indeed. The hotel caters for everything: swimming pools, beach (a small ''cala'' enough to sunbathe and relax in the sea, two terraces and a balcony. The staff , although some of them unexperienced, all in all very very friendly and helpful. The hotel location could not be better. Literally 3 minutes from the bus stop to catch number 3 bus and go to palma for the day. The airport is 15 minutes away by taxi. We booked half board. The breakfast and dinner buffets were extraordinary, the variety and the abundance were unheard of. In other places (from experience) usually if you join dinner or breakfast just a few minutes before their closing time, either they do not allow you to sit down or the food is cold and its just only what is left. One night we got late back from Palma and we not only were allowed to have dinner , but the buffett was as fresh and varied as at the beginning. The only negative thing I can think of is that we had booked half board included with the accommodation, at dinner time the drinks would be chargeable, even if you only wanted water.....odd!!

“Fabulous weekend break”

Lovely hotel in great location - quiet but close to Palma. Definately a hotel for relaxing, not partying. Pool area is lovely and although it can get busy we had no problem getting sun beds. Buffet breakfasts were great and the chilled cava was a nice start to the day. Bedrooms were a little on the small side but recently decorated in very contemporaty styles and more than adequate space for all the little time we spent in there. Quick and easy access on the bus to Palma for great shopping, sightseeing etc. Overall a great spot and with a transfer time to the airport of less than 30 mins its great for a short break in the sun.

“Wonderful stay!!”

This hotel was wonderful!! The staff was super nice and helpful. We checked in extremely early and our room wasn't ready, so they upgraded us to a better room! This hotel has been newly renovated. The rooms were awesome! We had a fabulous view. The food was on point. We spent most of the day by the pool. Beautiful pool area. Very small beach area reserved for hotel guests with plenty of room just to lay out near the water. But, you won't need to because the pool area is so relaxing. I will definitely be heading back there before we leave Europe.

“Luxury at value prices”

The hotel is really superb - every area is a visual joy and so comfortable to be in. The decor is a beautiful mix of modern and traditional with original artwork adding to the ambience. The terraces overlooking the sea are wonderful, and the pool area rivals any I have seen. The staff are friendly and helpful throughout the hotel, and the service is excellent - free champagne at breakfast was unbelievable! For the standard of this hotel, the price we paid was amazing value. My minor criticisms are that the ultra-modern rooms, while beautiful, did not have any drawer space, which was inconvenient, nor did the wardrobes have sufficient hanging space for longer items of clothing - e.g., maxi dresses. The balconies on the side of the hotel overlooked each other, which compromised privacy on occasions, but every room does, at least, have a balcony. Best value for money I have ever experienced.

“Super hotel, staff and location”

Found this gem of a hotel and so pleased I did. The location was superb as was the staff, restaurant, room, atmosphere and overall loved my stay there. Was a birthday treat for myself and will definitely go back.

“Great hotel for couples.”

We were very pleased with our stay at the Albatros in Illetes. The hotel has a lovely ambience and the public rooms were very tastefully decorated. The staff at reception were very helpful and always had a smile for us. The staff in the dining room were also very helpful. We found breakfast of high quality and was always fully stocked. We had the buffet dinner each night and it was very good food and excellent value. Our bedroom was spotlessly clean and the veranda was also very clean. My only complaint would be having the washbasin in the bedroom, but we soon got used to it. Illetis is a nice quiet resort with a couple of good beaches. There is also a good bus service to Palma which we used quite a few times. The buses run very late so it was great to go into Palma after dinner. The city had a great buzz at night which we enjoyed. Overall we had a lovely holiday at the hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to others.

“Relaxing break”

Had a fantastic weekend break - we lazed around the pool all day and ate in the restaurant when not lounging. Both activities were magic. Highly recommended to those who just want to relax and enjoy the amazing view over the ocean in a friendly, relaxed and luxurious atmosphere.

Me and my husband had amazing experience at Barcelo Albatros. We appreciated every detail in hotel's hospitality, including friendly staff, excessive breakfast variety, many spa facilities and fruity smelling room. Thank you for completing our Spain tour on such warm and friendly note.

“Cool sophistication close to Palma”

This is an Adults Only hotel so the ambiance is one of cool sophistication. Rooms are very modern and described as "Urban Beach" by the operators. The pool area is superb with great views over the Bay of Palma. Breakfast and lunch were both great, but we were a bit disappointed with the buffet dinner option provided as part of the half-board package, so much so that we voted with our feet after two nights and headed into Palma on the bus (1.5E and about 20 minutes away), where the atmosphere and choice were more to our liking. As we were leaving, we waited in reception for our transport. During our 30 minute wait, almost everyone who arrived to check-in asked for a room upgrade - of course no-one got one while we were there. So, if you want a sea-view, book it up-front. It really is worth it.
