“Great Hotel”
The service was fantastic; super friendly, great English and very helpful. Hotel was easy to find and my room was clean and comfortable.
“Family room cramped”
We had a family room (we have 2 young children) an the room was overly cosy with the 4 of us in it. In addition the room was too hot but we had no way of controlling any cool air coming into the room (apart from opening the window which would have been too noisy at night). We stayed too seperate nights - on one deal we got breakfast included which was good, but I wouldn't have paid for breakfast on top of the room rate as it seemed too pricey. Overall the Hotel was clean and pleasant, but I wouldn't stay in a family room again for more than one night for the reasons stated above.
“Good location for Normandy vacation”
Spent four nights at this hotel which was comfortable. The room is a good size for European standards. They have a nice yard with an outdoor pool, resting areas and games. It is an easy walk to the castle area if you don't mind walking. Decent restaurants are found near by. The breakfast buffet is OK but expensive for what you get. It is however the same everywhere. The employees were quite friendly and were helpful. The hotel is a little difficult to find at first as you have to drive by, make a U-turn and take a side road which goes to the other side of the hotel. Drove there from CDG airport and took us about 3 hours. There are several tolls on the highway and they are not cheap. It is an easy drive to the Normandy coast and the tourist attractions. Make sure to get a GPS if you are not familiar with the area. I would recommend this hotel for your travels.
“great location for caen memorial”
My husband and I wanted a nice, inexipensive hotel close to the Caen memorial. The Hotel was great. It is close to the Highway, but you cannot hear any noise. It is a mile from the Caen Memorial and makes a great location for visiting the D-Day Beachs. Resturants are an easy drive and the room was quite large, clean and quite.
“Would definitely recommend”
Although it is out of the centre, the hotel is right next to regular running trams, and it's very quiet. The on site parking was a bonus, and this was under CCTV so we weren't worried about the car. Reception were very friendly and the kettle/ hospitality tray in the room (almost unheard of in France!) was most welcome and replenished daily. Breakfast was plentiful and there were lots of French papers to read. A great base for exploring the Normany landing beaches!
“Not Impressed”
Bedroom had seen better days..mattresson the bed dirty and no protective cover...generally the room was in need of a make over! Reception and resturant staff however very helpful and friendly
“Very good novotel - good french standards”
No problems at all. Clean, good staff, decent breakfast, very comfy sofa bed for the kids, good parking, nice bathroom with very good shower. Just stayed 1 night before ferry, and would use again. Only downside -was quite deer for for room only rate.
“Good stopover”
The hotel provided a comfortable stopover en-route from Ouistreham Port to Southern Brittany. Our family room was small, especially with older children, but adequate for our one-night stay. The pool and gardens were a bonus. Our main criticism was that it was difficult to find with no nearby landmarks to look for, and once we had found it, we then had difficulty in identifying the entrance, especially as it was on a dual carriageway. The hotel offers free wi-fi; however the system was down during our visit, but there was also a computer in the lobby offering free internet access for a limited time.
“Adequate”
Me and my family stayed at the Novotel this August. The Hotel staff were very friendly. Rooms were adequate. I was not impressed with the location, and a nearby heli-pad was very noisy as were the room doors which banged constantly during the night as well as unruly children running up and down the corridors! The best part about this hotel was the restaurant, the food was excellent!!
“Nice experience”
Excellent recently remodeled hotel on the Nile in downtown Cairo. Clean, good AC, heavy glass windows keep out street noise, nice size rooms, friendly staff. Small pool, nice rooftop cafe. Kids under 16 stay free.
