The bed quilt smells slightly with mold,not being used for a long time. Not enough towel in the room. However, overall it’s very clean, quiet and excellent front-desk service.

We had a wonderful lunch and one night stay while in Omaha Beach to tour the D-Day beaches and memorials, very moving and beautiful. Bayeux was also a lovely walking town not far drive from hotel.

Property was nice and staff were nice. Disappointed because we booked this hotel with the knowledge it had a spa and massage available. More than a week before our arrival, I sent the hotel a message to see about booking a massage for my wife. I never received a response. When we arrived, I was told that the massage service was closed for the season. If the hotel had responded to my message with this information, I could’ve made other plans. Other than that, our stay was fine.

Great for Golf
If you are there to golf, it's a great place. Service is excellent. It's not close to anything you can walk to. Needs a little maintenance.

The place was great and the staff was fantastic. Please note you need a car if staying in this area. It was very hard to get taxi’s (especially in August) and there are no Uber’s in the area. The staff was super accommodating in helpful us get to the D Day sites we wanted to see

Over priced tiny room!!!
We went with friends, we paid for 2 same comfort rooms however our room was a very small pokey room with no room to relax as everything was so squashed in where as our friends room was so much better and even had a balcony with a nice view over looking the pool where our poky window overlooked the car park. I feel very upset with our stay as even the reception staff let slip the room was normally used for 1 person not 2!! Even the bed sheet was ripped and torn!

In fact in the same room category we have different size of room and you get a smaller room as your friend. We check in our system and we see that you do two different bookings through expedia, with two different booking number. Our team did'nt see that you travel together. Again we apologies about that, the price that you've paid is the best price in a standard classic room less than 100 for one night in April. We understand your dissatisfaction and your misunderstanding. We apologies again. We checked in with the teams to make sure this didn’t happen again and also with the housekeeper about the torn bed skirt. Beautiful quaint French countryside. Hotel staff very nice and helpful. $25 taxi ride to Omaha Beach and/or Bayeux train station. Uber not available. Overall very pleased with hotel. Merci!

The hotel is clean and quiet. The restaurant was closed the evening we were there, so we had to walk into town for dinner, which was not easy. Staff was very friendly and efficient

I loved the scenic nature of the property. I love the multi-language nature of the staff. I loved the breakfast with several options depending on how hungry I was. I loved the restaurant when I could eat there. I did not like the fact that there were no clocks in my room and very few around the property. I do not like using my cellphone as an alarm clock. I also did not like the fact that half of the television channels were not working during my stay. It was not a large deal, but combined with no clocks, it was hard to keep with things in the States. Overall, I loved my stay, will recommend it to others, and will be back to stay again...bringing my own clock!

Needs a lot of TLC
We have loved Mercure hotels we have stayed at in the past and that is why we chose this one. This hotel did not live up to the Mercure name and is in dire need of repairs. The WiFi was the worst we had our entire trip (6 different hotels) and would barely load a page, the faucet in the shower was coming apart from the wall, the safe was locked when we arrived (thankfully was a quick fix), the soap in the shower was empty when we tried to shower, there were no towels or robes in the room for the pool, and the fitness room had broken machines, even through there were only 3. The service from the front desk was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. It appears the hotel needs a lot of extra help to get back up to a good standard, maybe after being closed for a while.

Very nice hotel minutes from all of the area attractions. Wonderful breakfast daily. Restaurant on site with a good menu and open until midnight daily. Nice pool (although we didn’t use it). Seems to be a great golf course on the grounds, but my wife and I don’t play. My only negative comment was that the AC didn’t work in our room but simply leaving the window open left it comfortable. Would definitely recommend and worth not hesitate to stay again if we visited the area in the future.

We initially stayed for a night but because of the weather we decided to come back and stay with them. The first night was amazing, the hospitality of the check in staff was impeccable, the room we had was upstanding! However the next day we were put in a room that was on the second floor, the shower head was broke, the drain stopper was popped out and we had to ask for more towels since there was not enough. But over all the staff was amazing as always, we will definitely recommend and come back to stay here!

Prestige room was good size but bathroom a bit shabby around the edges. Room had an unpleasant smell due to the plastic coated flooring. Should have had proper cups for hot drinks rather than paper cups! Service in the dining room was good given they looked understaffed. Dinner was awful, undercooked and cold in places, but immediate credit given. Breakfast expensive for what it was, miserable undercooked bacon, and no English breakfast tea! Staff were very helpful and service good.

We arrived around 8:00-8:30pm - and was told we could not eat in the restaurant - they had no space. They said the town was about a 15 minute walk away, but that things would be closing there. So our only option was room service. The selection and food was OK. We asked if we could eat it outside on the patio and were told no - it had to be eaten in our room. Not a very welcome arrival. But staff were helpful the next two days.
