“SUPERB IN EVERY WAY”

Quality apartment. Stylish. Very well equipped kitchen. Everything new. Plenty of crockery if you wish to entertain. Bathroom - beautiful - fluffy towels, quality shampoo, conditioner etc. Bed very comfortable. We had the 2 roomed apartment - sofa bed in lounge/diner. We could have had breakfast in the restaurant but chose to cook ourselves. Large fridge/freezer. Microwave, toaster etc. No oven just a hob but there was a table top oven. Plenty of cutlery. Absolutely everything was immaculate. The apartment was spacious. Every room heated. Ladder towel rail in bathroom was hot so could dry small things very easily. Large car park just outside the entrance. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Area recommendations

I enjoy taking photographs and love coastal areas. Etretat is a lovely place and about 3/4 hour drive away (if I remember correctly) rock formations. Also we went down to Giverny (Monets Gardens) which we would highly recommend but probably not when we went which was October as the flowers had been killed off the sudden frost which we had had. Another place not too far away is Avranches - very interesting Mulberry Harbour. Go into the centre which is down in the main area and be entranced by what took place all those years ago.

Traveller's tip

With the pound being weak against the Euro, it makes sense to go self catering as everything in France is very expensive. A gin and tonic in Honfleur was about £7 so if you are coming by boat like we did buy the duty free on board and enjoy it at the apartment like we did. Parking about 2 Euros an hour so if you can find free on-street parking do so. Also if you are driving, try and avoid the expensive tolls on the bridges. We took the wrong exit not far from our apartment and ended up paying 5 euros and then had to pay another 5 euros about 10 minutes later going back the way we had come due to our mistake - £9 gone! Please leave a few euros available as when we checked out of our hotel in St Malo and the apartment in Honfleur we had to pay a 2 Euro per night tax.

“Very nice hotel”

Super hotel, only drawback at the present time is the walk into the centre of Honfleur as it is along the grass verge of a very busy hotel although it is not too far and should improve as soon as the building opposite is finished, this dbuilding work does not effect the hotel or not our room as it was on the opposite side.

“Très bon hotel”

Très bon hotel et très propre en apparence (sauf les bondes des douches du spa qui étaient absolument dégueulasses). Le personnel est très serviable et le petit déjeuner plus que copieux (avis aux amateurs de Nutella !). Le spa est très correct mais les perignoirs pourraient être gratuits (location de 5€/presonne demandée). Déco trés agréable. Studio à recommander si vous rester quelques jours.

Area recommendations

Le vieux port de Honfleur et le vieux centre-ville. Le bord de mer et les rues piétonnes de Trouville à un 10aine de km.

“Très bien - Hotel ouvert en 2009”

Très bien accueilli et renseigné sur les activités et visites possibles dans la région. L'hotel a ouvert cet été 2009, avec le temps ca va peut etre changer. Tarif interressant, prix d'appel pour l'ouverture je pense. Nous avions un studio avec tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner. Petit regret, la vue depuis la chambre donne sur la piscine mais avec en fond un vieux batiment (coté arrière de l'hôtel) et côté avant de l'hôtel on domine la zone industrielle avec quand même une partie du pont de Normandie en fond. Le centre de Honfleur est à 10 minutes à pied. Grande surface à 5 minutes en voiture. Autoroute à 5 minutes.

“Ganz hübsch, aber keine gute Lage”

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und personlich eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind recht groß, insbesondere die Appartments eignen sich mit der Küche gut für selbtsverpflegung (aber auch die Standardzimmer haben Herdplatten). Allerdings ist die Lage eher schlecht (10 Minuten Fußmarsch, direkt an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße ohne Fußgängerweg!). Die Zimmer sind allerdings ruhig. Wenn man nichts anderes findet ist es ok, wenn man aber planen kann gibt es bessere Optionen direkt im Ort.

“Très bon rapport qualité/prix”

Nous sommes allés passer le week-end du 15 août 2009 dans cet hôtel, qui est en fait plus une résidence hotelière. L'hotel est très beau, tout neuf (mai 2009), très propre, le personnel est très aimable, les chambres sont grandes avec une bonne literie et la piscine est très agréable. Le seul point faible est que nous devons nous-même retirer nos draps, les déposer sur le lit et jeter notre poubelle. Pour un 4 étoiles, cela est décevant. L'hotel est à 10min à pied du centre-ville et est un peu isolé, mais des construction sont en cours. Malgrè ces quelques inconvénients notre séjour a été très agréable.
