Handy for the ferry

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: Buffet breakfast (included in price) was adequate, although they ran out of bread by 9 and didn't provide any more. Bed was very comfortable.
Location: Close to the ferry port.
Stayed overnight after coming off afternoon ferry from Portsmouth. Hotel is very close to the port - you can see the sign from the deck!

Very convenient if you arrive by ferry

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Straight off the ferry and in five minutes you are there. It's clean and very ordinary but all you need for an overnight stay. Very expensive though.

Value for money

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Located close to ferry terminal, secure car parking.
Location: Stop off point from ferry, but there are great beaches and local area is of course famous for its role in D-day landings.
Clean, well-located, and with secure car parking, this is not a luxury stay but was good value for money especially when breakfast is included. We will certainly use it again when a short stay near the ferry is needed.

Pros: Proximity to Port.
Cons: Room size
Location: We were passing through
Easy to find from port.Parking adjoining hotel.Quick easy check in. Lift available to use ( room on first floor). Room clean, bathroom clean, but room SO small ,space between end of bed and wall must have been less than one foot. Very good breakfast in pleasant dining room.Easy fast checkout .

Ideal location for ferry travellers.

Posted 22-May-2014
Pros: Location. Secure parking.
Location: Very handy for ferry. Reasonably close to town centre.
The hotel is on the right as one exits the ferry port. Secure vehicle parking (electronic gates) available for small charge. Very friendly, English-speaking staff. Free coffee or tea available in lounge, but receptionist also serves drinks from the bar. Room not overly large, but comfortable. Hotel is within walking distance of town centre restaurants. Good continental breakfast in small dining area.

No hot water

Posted 24-Apr-2014
Pros: simple, clean modern and basic
Cons: hot water in the bathrooms
Location: well located for ferry an ou1sterham
On arrival staff really friendly. nice basic clean hotel. had an early start to catch the ferry and discovered we had no hot water. Staff seemed to know and suggested we should have left the water running for about 10mins to get hot water...but hadn't told us! Not the best start to the day and no real apologies. They seemed to make out it was our problem for not wasting water.
