On beach

Posted 02-Jul-2012 on Hotels.com
The staff was very very nice. The hotel is a bit difficult to find due French roadmaps, not their fault. The building is very old but updates apparent. The beach view very nice. This is a old building and has no fire escape which was a bit disturbing especially with the narrow hallways. The hallways are lit by motion sensitive lights which dont always come on which is also a bit scary. The room was clean

Friendly hotel

Posted 10-Sep-2010
Lovely friendly hotel facing the sea. Good things: Easy parking, Rooms with fabulous views. Comfortable beds. Good shower. Lovely staff - very friendly and helpful. Pretty garden at the back with sun loungers - very quiet and relaxing. Great restaurant with amazing food. Breakfast buffet fine - a bit of everything. Niggles: No full length mirror in room. Lighting in bathroom very low - very gloomy. Room decor a bit tired. But nothing major to complain about. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Perfect beach hotel.

Awesome hotel in Normandy

Posted 31-Oct-2009
Right on the ocean with awesome views. Extremely nice staff! I spent three nights at the hotel with my Dad this past summer, while we toured the Normandy beaches. Extremely convenient location to the main roads that lead you to the beaches. The restaurant is extremely nice, but prepare to pay for the french cuisine. The staff know limited English but were accomodating as we tried our limited French. The rooms are basic and nothing fancy, but considering the price and the views it is well worth it. You also can have a choice of receiving breakfast each day. I recommend it, as it is an awesome traditional European breakfast.

Beautiful sea view

Location, location, location. We picked this hotel because it was on the waterfront, and were not disappointed. It is worth it to pay a little more for the ocean view and balcony. It is an older hotel, so if you want new and modern, this may not be the hotel for you. Lovely grounds in the back of the hotel, along with a heated pool. There is also complimentary parking in the back, which was a plus. The staff was friendly, and one particular front desk employee, Sven, was especially helpful and spoke english very well. Many restaurants within a few blocks, as well as the hotel's upscale dining area. A good experience.

A great seaside hotel

This was a great place to say on the Normandy shore. It's a fairly simple hotel with a very friendly staff. The perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy the beauty of Normandy and not pay a ton of money.

Mixed feelings.

Posted 07-Jul-2009
On the positive side, the condition and standard of the room was excellent. The food was also of a very high standard. On the negative side, the staffing levels both at breakfast and dinner were inadequate and the standard of service in the restaurant was below the level you would expect for a hotel in this class.
