My first impression of this faculty was awful. The receptionist was too busy talking to someone else to pay attention to me when I walked through the door. I then walked into a musty smelling room, with a dead mashed fly on my "clean" bath mat, tiny ants on the desk, and mold on the shower curtain. Breakfast was extremely over sold, shouldn't even state it as an amenity. I will never stay at a red roof again. I understand it is a cheaper hotel but I at least expect the room to be clean and bug free.

My children were in a wedding and we live out of state. We had to staff for two nights. I booked this hotel for two main reasons: free breakfast and the swimming pool. Well, the pool was broken the entire time. That was great breaking the news to a five year old. The breakfast selection was waffles, apples, oranges and bagels without any cream cheese. When we showed up to check in, the front desk clerk took about ten minutes to show up after we rang the bell. She was not welcoming at all. Apparently is was just that particular employee because the rest of them were friendly during our stay. Nobody apologized for the pool not working. I feel we should have been contacted about the pool seeing that it was broken at least four days before we showed up.

disappointing experience at the red roof inn, cal

Pros: nothing
i don't think you have enough staff. there are times when the front desk is left unattended. it should be staffed 24/7. I also noticed employees multi-tasking; too many assignment for one person. your complimentary breakfast facility needs to be desired (and this is not an insult). and for 4th of july weekend, your pool should have been open. my grand kids were disappointed,

Nice size room and nice in room hot tub

Posted 09-Jul-2015
I rented a King Suite which was a very comfortable size. The room also came with an in room jetted tub for two which actually was very decent. Because of the tub the bathroom was a generous size as well. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but isn't wasn't horrible. I only stayed one night so I didn't interact with the staff often but when I did they were pleasant. My two gripes were (1) I don't know if it was rain (which was heavy that weekend) or a faulty pipe but when we got back we noticed our floor became very damp throughout the room which was uncomfortable because I hate wet socks so it was either bare feet or shoes. (2) The breakfast was minimal.

Cheap room if that's what your looking for.

I picked the hotel because of the pool and it was a good deal. I stayed with my kids and the pool would have offered a great distraction for them. The pool was closed because they did not have permits to run it. The contantintal breakfast was the worst I have seen. I would not recommend this unless you just want to lay your head down for the night and a comfortable mattress don't matter.

Great hotel for the price

Posted 15-Jun-2015
Pros: It was clean and the employees were very nice.
Cons: Open the pool or take it off your website as a perk!
Location: Great location
This was a nice hotel, I did end up in a smoking room and I don't smoke-- so that was kind of annoying but the smell was not that bad! The only problem I did have was that we chose the hotel for the pool and the pool is closed down. I was very unhappy about that as we had 5 kids between the 3 rooms we booked and they all were excited to swim! The breakfast was lack luster but there are lots of restaraunts nearby.

Very comfortable

This room was clean, comfort and quiet. Staff was professional and very personable. As someone who had been driving all day, checking in at 7pm, this was just what I needed.

You should Stay....away

Posted 29-Mar-2015 on Hotels
Chose this hotel over La Quinta- big mistake. Dirty common area, dirty rooms, bathrooms with hair all over the floor, two beds with dirty linens, an unsanitary jacuzzi tub with dried hair in the pipes. Old food at breakfast - day old donuts and old fruit. Chose purely on two needs : pool indoor and pet friendly. They obviously invite dogs because dog droppings are everywhere outside. No working pool, apparently for quite a while. This is false advertising and this red roof should be forced to change its amenities on line so others aren't duped. Never again will I stay in a red roof property.
