“This boutique inn knows how to pamper guests”

Exceptional level of comfort,staff service, and friendliness. Superb for a romantic getaway. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Area recommendations

Kensington is a great area to walk and jog or cycle and conveniently close to Prince Edward Park along the Bow River. It's also close to the vibrant downtown with tons of shopping and eateries.

“In the heart of Kensington, an upgrade is planned”

Kensington Inn is a sentimental favorite of mine since it is in my old neighbourhood and I have stayed there before. I spoke with one of the Innkeepers to ensure that yes, they are replacing the now past their prime carpets. This will help restore the Kensington Inn to its past luxe look. Service at this hotel is impeccable and the food is simply fantastic although pricey to say the least. Here are the benefits of staying: remarkably good location for walking around hip Kensington and for doing business downtown (you could easily walk with good shoes). The included breakfast is lovely, reasonable choices and made to order. Parking is only 12 dollars a day underground in a city where parking is routinely 35 dollars per day and in winter underground parking is a great option. The staff are wonderfully accommodating and will go out of the way if asked. Patio service was exemplary and the patio and interior are decorated in a luxe modern way. The downsides: the interior of the second floor now needs a reno, mostly just the carpeting. In the rooms, there are not enough accessible outlets for the modern day travellers host of electronics. A reachable power bar behind the head of the bed would help for those of us who want to put our feet up AND work. Evening meals, while truly gourmet and wonderful, are breathtakingly expensive. All in all, I will stay here again and I enjoyed my stay, will be glad when the upgrading is done.

“great boutique hotel”

Love the location, staff was ver accomodating. However we had difficulties with temperature control of the room and by 2am we had to open windows in the room as it was extremely uncomfortable. A call to the front desk was made and we were offered a fan. Opening windows would not normally be a problem however this hotel is on a very busy street and so by 6:30am the noise was unbearable.

“Good little Boutique Hotel”

This is a very friendly hotel, the place feel cozy and nicely decorated. The room is very comfortable except it was a bit too warm for me, cannot turn the heat off.. The restaurant had good food, highly recommended to try the restaurant, but prepare to paid... i do like the hotel and the friendly staff, would stay there again.

“Intimate, comfortable, with excellent service”

We have stayed in this hotel twice in the last month and would highly recommend it. Its location is convenient, not only to the city but an easy drive to the hospitals and University. It is small and therefore personal with very efficient and friendly staff and and excellent dining room. The King room was very comfortable and fit a nicely made up roll-away bed for our teenage son. There is free parking and internet and a free coffee and newspaper delivered to the room door in the morning-all very much appreciated.

“Fabulous”

I stayed here twice. The service was exceptional. The rooms were beautiful. The food was very good. The hotel is situated in a fabulous neighborhood. I will come here again and again.
